Samuel Creagan, 77, of Burlington, died Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Born January 31, 1948, in Centerville, Iowa, he was the son of Lawrence Jr. and Patricia “Pat” Creagan.

Samuel worked as a welder for over 30 years for J.I. Case.

Hobbies included collecting antiques, metal detecting, fishing, metal artwork, poetry, and photography.

He had a strong faith in God and attended church for many years where he met many of his friends.

He is survived by: Christopher (Nancy) Creagan (Son); Kaia Creagan-granddaughter; Linda (Lyle) Kehrberg (sister), Rosie Crane (sister) husband Marvin(deceased), Ron Creagan (brother) wife Angie (deceased), very special cousin Diane (Dolly) St Laurent along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Many friends including his closest friends of over 40 years, Robert (Bob) Klein, his wife Clara, their son Alan; daughter Sheila; and Stanley Schrock and his wife Linda.

He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle Joe Zuccarello.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6th at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends.

A memorial funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7th at Parkside Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Ullom will officiate.

According to his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
