William Eugene "Bill" Johnson, 77, of Westminster, Colo. died on Feb. 20, 2022.
William was born June 11, 1944, to Eugene W. and Helen V. Pratt Johnson in Burlington. He graduated from Burlington High School and married Kathryn A. Senn in 1962.
After acquiring an Associate in Technical Science, Bill went to work for Winegard Company where he later relocated to Colorado. He also worked several years and retired from Jefferson County Public Schools.
Following the death of Kathryn, he continued his life-long love of racing that developed as a flag-man at 34 Raceways, to working with pit crews of various racers. In 1996, he married Roberta Huett, and the two of them enjoyed many years of vacation in Mexico, going on cruises, and spending time with their dogs.
Bill is survived by three children, Wendy Herlein, Aaron (Rebecca) Johnson, and Lora Johnson; two stepchildren, Julie (Jim) Dunkerly and Brian Moss; brother, Doug (Terri) Schwartz; nephew, Douglas Schwartz; niece, Jennifer (Noah) Collins; and their children.
He is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Richard Schwartz; wife, Roberta Johnson; and son-in-law, Mike Herlein.
