Daniel H. Gentry, 42, of Oakville, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center-Fort Madison in Fort Madison. Born Nov. 8, 1982, in Burlington, he was the son of William Hollis and Lori Kay Wall Gentry. &nbsp;

When Daniel was able, he worked as a production worker. He also helped as a volunteer with the Oakville Fire Department.&nbsp;

He enjoyed biking and rode in Ragbrai many times. Daniel loved fishing, having bonfires and playing darts and compete in leagues. He had a strong love for animals, especially his German Sheppard, Waldo.

Survivors include His parents, William and &nbsp;Lori Gentry; one daughter, Chantel R Gentry; three sisters, Melissa K Glade-Seibert, Hillary L Gentry, and Debbie R Gentry; and his aunt, Nancy Hodges.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and daughter, Danielle Hailey Gentry.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
