Steven K. Hoelscher, 71, of Burlington, died Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his residence.

Born on June 21, 1953, in Macomb, Ill., he was the son of Herbert K. and Ruth E. Cavett Hoelscher.

Steven received his welding degree from a trade school in Des Moines. He worked as a welder for Murray Ironworks, Klein Manufacturing, and Blue Bird Bus Company in Mount Pleasant until its closing.

He enjoyed listening to cd’s, watching tv, reading the Bible, and loved his cats.

He is survived by his brother, Leslie W. (Barbara) Hoelscher of Burlington.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Laurel F. Hoelscher.

There will be no services and cremation has been accorded.

Lunning Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
