Norma Jane "Skip" Gillis, 95, of Burlington, died Tuesday, February 17, 206, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.

Born August 28, 1930, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Harold and Flossie Dixon.

She married Edward Gillis on August 28, 1999.

Skip worked for Beckman Dry Cleaners for several years. After her retirement she helped with the Burlington School District lunch program.

She was a member of First Christian Church ~ Disciples of Christ.

She enjoyed bowling and attended many state and national tournaments throughout her life. She loved taking many motorcycle rides with the G.W.R.R.A. and watching Wheel of Fortune.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Gillis; daughter Kim Noble; stepchildren, Kelly Gillis and Pam Gillis; grandchildren Margo and Kyla; great grandchildren Ace, Addaline, Dawson and Rowan; brother George Dixon and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dan Noble, stepson Scott Gillis and two brothers Don Dixon and Jim Dixon.

According to her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
