Clifford William Moyers, 70, of Burlington, died Dec. 24, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born Dec. 19, 1952, he was the son of Enos “Pete” Wesley and Frances L. Fye Moyers Jr. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Clifford married Ramona Kay Sutton on June 9, 1973, in Burlington. He drove a truck for the City of Burlington Sanitation Department for 45 years.

Clifford liked to hunt, fish, and go boating. He loved going to the casino. Most of all he loved his family.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ramona; two sons Clifford Andrew Moyers of Burlington and Billy Moyers of Ft. Madison; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister Verna Roden of Amarillo, Tex.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Nancy Kay Gibson; stepson Roger Sutton and two brothers Arthur and Clarence.

Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in warmer weather at the park. Inurnment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
