Robert Kenneth Lyons, age 87, died May 19, 2024, in New London.

Robert was born Nov. 7, 1936 in Burlington, the son of Kenneth and Rose Steiniger Lyons. &nbsp;Robert went on to serve his country through the United States Air Force. &nbsp;After which he worked as a maintenance manager within the Burlington Medical Center and Great River Medical Center for 27 years. &nbsp;Robert was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. &nbsp;In his younger years he loved playing drums and enjoyed the solitude of fishing.

He married Betty Jean Calhoun and later divorced.

Robert’s family include his son, Kenneth A. Lyons (Rhonda); four grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and his sister Wanda Phillips. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

A simple cremation has been arranged in accordance with Robert’s wishes. &nbsp;No services are scheduled. &nbsp;He will be laid to rest at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
