Wayne LeRoy Crawley, 72, of Burlington, died Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.&nbsp;

Born January 4, 1950, in Ottumwa, he was the son of Gilbert and Anna Annis Crawley. On January 9, 1970, he married Debra Sue Keever in Biggsville Church.&nbsp;

He worked in Sanitation and the Parks Department for the City of Burlington over 28 years.

Wayne was a backyard mechanic and known to race his car down Jefferson street in the evening when he was younger. He enjoyed watching wrestling and was very ornery. He loved to give people a hard time.&nbsp;

Survivors include his wife, Deb of Burlington; son, Steven (LenRose) Crawley; nine grandchildren; great-grandchildren; four siblings, Gil Crawley of Tenn., Roy Crawley of Tex., Donna Crawley and Vickie Ruby both of Iowa.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott Crawley, brother, Ed Crawley, grandparents, and great-grandparents.&nbsp;

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
