
Claude M. Frisbee, 88, of Burlington, died Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born Nov. 2, 1936, in Shelbina, Mo., he was the son of Beryl H. and Martha "Mattie" Porter Frisbee. On December 25, 1955, he married Rosa Lee Richards in Shelbina, Mo. She preceded him in death on Oct. 13, 2021.
He was a graduate of Shelbina High School. Claude worked as a mechanical engineer for JI Case Corp for 42 years and was awarded 64 patents during his career.
Growing up on a farm instilled a love of nature for Claude at a young age. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing and pretty much anything to do with being outdoors. Claude also enjoyed working on a variety of woodworking projects in his shop.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew Frisbee of Burlington and Beryl "Gene" Frisbee of Houston, Texas; daughter, Cathy Frisbee of West Burlington; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Frisbee of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Marylou Carter of Virginia and former sister-in-law, Annette Frisbee of Kansas City, Mo..
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, son, Edward Frisbee and one granddaughter.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
There will be no visitation or services. He will be entombed with his wife at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
