Alice Burg Nelson, 96, of Burlington, died Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington. Born June 15, 1929, in New York City, N.Y., she was the daughter of Albin and Bertha Good Burg Martin. On January 10, 1976, she married William Nelson &nbsp;in Burlington, Iowa. He died on October 12, 1982. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and later attended Burlington Junior College.&nbsp; Alice worked in the copy department at National Research for twenty years and in the engineering department at IAAP. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Mary Salter Guild, Diaconate Board, Mission Board, Historical Board, Organic Gardening Club, King's Daughters, Burlington Women's Club, Friends of the Library and was a volunteer at the hospital and Klein's. &nbsp; Survivors include her extended family members, church family and the staff and residents at OakView. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. The Graveside Committal Service for Mrs. Nelson will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Pastor Jim Francisco officiating.&nbsp; Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.
