Duane Paul Moser, 72, of Burlington, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born Jan. 11, 1951, in Burlington, he was the son of Leslie Paul and Mary Louise Little Moser.  He was a 1969 graduate of Burlington High School.

He married Leslie Berry on Oct. 22, 1977.  They later divorced.  He then married Mary Paula Dameron on May 14, 1988, in Burlington.

Duane worked for US Borax/Dial Co. for 23 years.  He then worked for I.A.A.P. for 16 years until his retirement in 2013.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Denver Broncos fan. He was very sociable, and never knew a stranger.  He was the world's biggest flirt and was quite the ladies’ man.  His family was very precious to him, and he cherished the time they spent together.

Duane is survived by his wife, Mary Paula Moser of Burlington; his former spouse, Leslie McCullouch of Burlington; five children, Nathan Moser of Burlington, Kristin Moser of Cedar Rapids, Matthew (Casey) Marshall and Sean (Mary) Bragg both of Burlington and Brandi (John) Flynn of Wrens, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Jade, Devon, Aleigha, Gavin, Remy, Noah, Mia, Clarise, Jay and Ramsey; great granddaughter, Emma; brother, Vince (Nancy) Moser and sister Shelly (John) Whooley both of Burlington; his best friend and brother, Jim Standard of Burlington and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Moser, and sister Sandra Rice.

The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at Lunning Chapel.  A celebration of life will follow.

A memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.

Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
