Sandra Fisher, 80, of West Burlington, died Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Klein Center in West Burlington. Born August 17, 1946, in Des Moines, IA, she was the daughter of James and Oma (Morris) Albright. On January 11, 1965, she married Joseph Arthur Lopez in Des Moines; they later divorced. On June 29, 2013, she married Louis "Butch" in Burlington. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2016. Sandra worked as a waitress for 40 years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and always keeping an eye on the weather. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Iowa Hawkeye football fan and loved cheering on her team. Above all, though, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart. Survivors include her three sons, Joe (Michelle) Lopez of Hinesville, GA, Jeff (Brandie) Nelson of Burlington, and John Estes of Iowa; seven grandchildren, Justina Lopez, Amanda Vandel, Amber Vandel, Emma Hale, Logan Nelson, Anthony Nelson, and Angela Whitaker; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Mardi (Butch) Lawson of Des Moines. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Angela Marie Lopez, son, Christopher Lopez, and sister, Pat. There will be no visitation or services.
