Kevin D. Ruth, 55, of West Burlington, died Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born on April 23, 1970, in Burlington, he was the son of Dale and Barbara Jones Ruth.

Kevin attended Mediapolis High School. He enjoyed every genre of music especially Christian and songs that emphasized the drummer were of his most favorite. Kevin enjoyed playing the drums and going to Weird Harolds store to browse through the CD’s and records. Kevin was a cancer survivor. Most of all Kevin loved nothing more than to be with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother Barb; four siblings: Bryon (Amy) Ruth of Chandler, Ariz., Stan Ruth of West Burlington, Greg (Ruth Potter) Ruth of Iowa City, and Chris Ruth of Washington, Iowa. Also surviving are his beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents and his father Dale.

Per his wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel. No services will be held at this time.
