Betty Lou Hauswirth, 73, of Burlington, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health &amp; Hospice Hospice.

Born July 26, 1948 in Shelbyville, Ill., she was the daughter of Harold M. Bryant and Hyster Bird. Her step-mother was Dolores J. Wallace Bryant. Betty was of the Southern Baptist Faith.

She graduated from Chillicothe High School in Chillicothe, Ill.

She married Thomas Allan Hauswirth, Sr. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2004.

Betty was a retired security guard for Per Mar Security, assigned to Case New Holland.

She enjoyed gardening, crafting, stained glass work and caring for indoor plants.

Survivors include her children, Thomas Hauswirth Jr of Burlington,&nbsp; Treva Robison of Evansville, Ind; three grandchildren; her mother, Hyster Allsop of Globe, Ariz.; seven siblings, Terry Gritton of Mapleton, Ill., Angela Errion of Peoria, Ill., Debra Snellgrove &amp; Harold Bryant, both of Monmouth, Ill., Pam Schurdell of Parma, Ohio, Shirley Snedeker of Centerville, Ohio,&nbsp; Dale Allsop of Globe, Ariz.; and her beloved dog, Moose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father and stepmother, one sister, Cherrie Just, and one brother, Edgar Bryant.

Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Funeral Chapel. There will be no services at this time.
