Nancy Galbraith, 74, of Gladstone, Ill., died Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Feb. 19, 1949, in Monmouth, Ill., she was the daughter of Orval L. and Cora L. Brown Detrick. On Feb. 9, 1969, she married David Galbraith at the Olena Community Church.
She was a graduate of Union High School class of 1967.
Nancy worked in billing and coding at Cleveland Dermatology until her retirement.
Nancy loved spending time with family. She enjoyed shopping, and collecting recipes.
Survivors include her husband, David Carl Galbraith of Gladstone, Ill.; two daughters, Kim (Rodger) Hake of Burlington, and Amber (Bill) Miller of Mayville, Wis.; three grandchildren, Kristin Hake, Genesis Miller, and Autumn Miller-Sitas and one sister, Esther Grimes of Monmouth, Ill. and one brother, Dale Detrick of Stronghurst, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. with the family to receive friends Friday, June 16, 2023 at First Church of the Nazarene.
The funeral service for Mrs. Galbraith will be 5 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jeff Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Olena Cemetery in Stronghurst, Ill. at a later date.
A memorial has been established for Cancer Research.
