Theodore Charles “Ted” Mazur, 78, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at Addington Place in Burlington.

Born on July 1, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Dr. Theodore T. and Jean E. Banks Mazur.

Ted graduated in 1965 from Burlington High School and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972. He worked and retired from General Electric. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, loved to watch the University of Iowa Hawkeye football games and loved his cat "Cindy".&nbsp; Ted had a kind, gentle and caring heart and was very respectful. He was a care giver to his parents and became primary care giver to his mother after his father passed.

He is survived by his two brothers: Dr. Michael T. (Anna) Mazur of Asheville, N.C., and Daniel R. (Maria) Mazur of Marquette, Mich.; and sister in-law Margaret Mazur of Loveland, CO. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Philip Mazur.

Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel. No services will be held at this time. Inurnment will be in Dudley Cemetery in Stickney, S.D. at a later date.
