Barbara E. Robinson, 77, of West Burlington, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at her home.
Born May 9, 1949, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. She was the daughter of Roy David and Lila Norton. She married the love of her life, Dean E. Robinson, on June 15, 1968, at the First Presbyterian Church on Division Street.
She worked at King’s Restaurant, Benner Tea Food Co., KFC, Beckman’s Gas Station, and Happy Joe’s.
Barbara was a member of the West Burlington Christian Church.
Barbara was a past member of the West Burlington Parks Committee. She was an active member of Boy Scouts Troop 14 for many years. She was also a member of a bowling league, helped with the Wednesday night JAM “Jesus and Me”, and worked in the church's office.
She is survived by her husband Dean E. Robinson, her son Dean A. (Heather) Robinson, grandchildren Caleb and Graciann Robinson, her siblings David Norton and Sean Norton, both of Texas, and Karla Norton and Brenda Duke, both of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Harry “Spike” Norton.
Visitation for Barbara will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the West Burlington Christian Church, where the family will receive friends. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the West Burlington Christian Church. Steve Parker, Dean A. Robinson, and Charles Gorsch will officiate.
Burial will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the grandchildren, Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House, and West Burlington Christian Church.
