Harold Williams, 92, of Gladstone, Illinois, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at his residence.

Born June 26, 1929, he was the son of Ted and Edith Helmeth Williams. He married Evelyn Young on Oct. 7, 1950, in Oakville. She died Dec. 5, 2012.

Harold worked for Ameren/CITS for 50 years until his retirement. He was a long-time volunteer for the Henderson County Health Department.

He was a member of the Gladstone United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his two children, Linda Scott of Danville and Edward Williams of Gladstone; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard Beames, of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers.

Per his wishes, a private graveside committal will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
