Dale F. Green, 91, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Park Place Manor in Mount Pleasant.

Born March 10, 1932, in Burnside, Ill., he was the son of Frank and Corinne Bisteadue Green. On May 9, 1953, he married Mable Thacker in LaHarpe, Ill, she died May 5, 1992. On Nov. 1, 1996, he married Idell Foster, in Fargo, N.D., she died Nov. 23, 1998. 

Dale served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Dale was a truck driver for BN transport for 30 years. He was of Methodist faith. He enjoyed camping, going to the casino, and enjoyed playing checkers, and putting puzzles together with his family. 

Survivors include one daughter Joan (David) Goldapp of Milwaukee Wis.; one son John (Vickie) Green, of Norfolk, Neb.; five granddaughters; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyillis Stout, and Wilma Williams, and one brother, Harry Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior, Bob, Arlene, Carmilla, and Frances.

The visitation for Dale will be Friday, Oct. 20 at Lunning Chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. After visitation military rights will be performed by the Burlington Area Honor Guard, followed by a graveside service at Aspen
