Angela Marie Spiker died March 11, 2024, in Rushville, Ill. She was born in Burlington to Mary E. Moyers and Spike Spiker. She graduated high school in Goodlettsville, Tenn. in 1984.

Angela was a true cowgirl. She loved anything and everything to do with horses. She worked as a bus driver for Schuyler Industry School. She loved her bus children VERY much.

Angela spent most of her time riding horses, camping and playing with her grandbabies. Angela had an infectious laugh and a contagious smile.

Angela is survived by her daughter Michelle (Tony) Lemons; three grandchildren, Lane, Kailynn and Waylon; her father Spike Spiker; sister Michelle (Bob) Lekander; five brothers, Scott (Janet) Waterman, Glenn (Mindy) Spiker, Vernon (Vickie) Spiker, Dusty Spiker and Sean Spiker and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary E. Moyers, uncle Glenn Moyers, two dogs Gunny and Rowdy and two horses Roscoe and Coty.

The memorial funeral service for Angela will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at Lunning Chapel. Casual attire is requested. A celebration of life and luncheon will be held following the memorial service at the Moose Lodge.

A memorial has been established for P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter in Fort Madison.

According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
