David E. Hall, 59, of Burlington, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born October 28, 1963, in Macomb, Ill., he was the son of Mason Dayne Hall and Cecilia Catherine "Cathy" Leighty Heckthorn. On Jan. 27, 1990, he married Tina Marie Ingersoll at First Christian Church in Burlington.
He attended Colchester High School through his sophomore year. He went on to graduate from Burlington High School in 1981. He then attended SCC, graduating with his Associate of Art and continued his education at the University of Iowa.
David was the Warehouse Manager for Baker's Pride and worked there through the many business changes for 32 years. He also worked for McDonald's for many years.
David loved his Iowa Hawkeyes, especially football, baseball and basketball. Beside watching any college sports, he also liked "The Big Bang Theory". He loved 80's Classic Rock and was well versed in music trivia. He could be found at his favorite restaurant, Napolis, cracking dad jokes. David loved to cook and everyone loved his cannalasgna.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Hall of Burlington; three children, Brianne (Detroit) Sly, Katie (Chris Rowland) Hall, and Julia Hall all of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Kassandra and Natalee Sly, Cameron Weyrick, Addy, Axel, Breann and Harper Rowland; one great grandchild, Atlas; brother, Thomas (Michelle) Hall of Burlington; sister-in-law, Robbin Todd of Burlington; mother-in-law, Hazel Unglesbee; sisters-in-law, Rose Anne Smalley, Evelyn Sue (Dom) Seminara, and Cindy McAllister; brother-in-law, George (Jane) Ingersoll and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lisa Hall and brother-in-law, Tim McAllister.
