Jeannie Dobroski, 92, of Davenport, formerly Burlington, died at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Born Sept. 15, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of Albert and Mary Jo Flynn Roush. On Nov. 23, 1950, she married Eugene Howard. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 2007, after 56 years of marriage.

She was a 1947 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Pittsburgh, Pa.  

She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf, former member of the Burlington Golf Club, volunteered her time at Birthright of Burlington, Hospital Auxiliary, and TTT Society. She enjoyed playing bridge and being an Iowa Hawkeye fan. She enjoyed working/socializing at Brinks in downtown Burlington for her 20% clothing discount and all the time she was able to spend chatting with friends. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed being the life of the party.

Survivors include her two sons, John Dobroski of Roswell, Ga., and Paul (Cindy) Dobroski of Port Byron, Ill.; two daughters, Judy (Tom) Tiemeier of Bettendorf, and Debbie (Danny) Bessine of Burlington; eleven grandchildren, Katie, Laura, Mark, Joanna, Stephanie, Aaron, Jack, Dylan, Morgan, Hannah, and Michael; thirteen Great-Grandchildren, Addison, Carter, Serenity, Chloe, Gus, Isla, Tierney, Colin, Jake, Nora, Brea, Oliver, Bodhi; one sister, Pat Urling of Florida, sister-in-law Natalie Roush of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother David of Wilmington, N.C.

Family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 10 at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Dobroski will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home with the Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
