Kimberly Kay Jarvis, 64, of Niota, Illinois, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2026, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

Kim was born February 11, 1962, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Denny and Sharon (Peterson) Myers. On May 16, 1997, she married Jeff Jarvis in Carthage, Illinois.

Kim was raised in Nauvoo, Illinois, where she attended school until her junior year. At that time, her family relocated to San Bernardino, California. She was a graduate of San Bernardino High School and attended college in California. After college, she returned to Burlington and later to Niota. Whether gardening, being with her pets, bird watching, or taking her family geode hunting, she loved being outdoors. Most of all, she loved being with family. Her greatest joy was being mom to Tawny and recently being Nana to her granddaughter, Leela.

Besides her husband, survivors include one daughter: Tawny (Phillip) Baratta of Downers Grove, Illinois, one granddaughter: Leela Baratta; one sister: Tamara (Kevin) Miller of Dallas City; one brother: Andy Myers of Burlington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Norman, and granddog, Leeloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Shanna Brown.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Dallas City.
