Terri Lynne Welcher, 61, of Sperry, died Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice in West Burlington.

Born May 10, 1963, in Chicago Heights, Ill., she was the daughter of George and Lena Renzi Ellis.&nbsp;

She was a graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights, Ill. She later moved to Texas and finished her degree as a dental assistant.&nbsp;&nbsp;

After school, she worked as a dental assistant. She later became a United States Postal Carrier, working for over 27 years.

Terri enjoyed spending time outdoors either tending to her plants or caring for her animals. She loved to travel, especially around America and South America. Most of all, Terri loved to spend time with her family and her granddaughters.&nbsp;

Survivors include her children, Colton Welcher and Amber (Jesse) Byrne both of Burlington; three granddaughters, Aria, Lily, and Ella Byrne all of Burlington; three sisters, Dawn (Dick) Lofgren of Lansing, Ill., Debbie (Tim) Denton of Park Forest, Ill., and Goldie Bridges of Park Forest, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
