Jerry Lee Andrews, 81, of Burlington, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Savannah Heights in Mount Pleasant. Jerry's family would like to acknowledge Savannah Heights for the wonderful care and compassion they showed him during his stay there, especially Rhonda.

Born March 15, 1943, in Oskaloosa, he was the son of Kenneth Dale and Alma May Moore Andrews. On June 27, 1964, he married Candace "Candy" Schultz. Even Though their marriage ended in divorce, they still remained friends throughout their lives.  

Jerry worked for Big Bear Farm Store. He worked almost every position with the company up to district manager before retiring after over 20 years.

He enjoyed cat fishing, deer hunting and drinking a beer. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Survivors include his four children, Brett (Lori) Andrews of Yarmouth, IA, Brenda (Greg) Andrews of Labelle, FL, Bart (Dana) Andrews of Daleville, AL and Brooke (Bill) Roberts of Burlington; nine grandchildren, Kali (Nick) Eastin, Kaprice (Jordan) Meyer, Eric Andrews, Zac Houtz, Zoey (Alex) Jensen, Dezirae Porter, Ethan Porter, Autumn Andrews, and Caysen Andrews; two great-grandchildren, Maverick and Millie Meyer; two sisters, Sharon Fisher of New Sharon, and Karen Frascht of Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Junior Fisher and Paul Frascht.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The Graveside Committal Service for Mr. Andrews will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Friends Cemetery in New Sharon, Iowa. 

A memorial has been established for Savannah Heights Nursing Home in Mount Pleasant.
