Mary Havenhill, 85, of West Burlington, died May 2, 2024, died at her home.
Born March 6, 1939, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Laurence and Florence Hoffeditz. She married Dennis Havenhill on Jan. 2, 1979, in Burlington. He died Aug. 19, 2005.
Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed antique shopping, thrift stores, crocheting, yard work, family outings, and attending her great grandson’s baseball and basketball games. She made the most fantastic fudge and was soon to be a great-great grandma.
Survivors include her four daughters; Mary Conn of West Burlington, Tami Brooks of Burlington, Kellie Downing of Edmond, Oklahoma and Patricia (De Andre) Leatherwood of Burlington; grandchildren, Raymond Conn Jr., Tyler Downing, her special granddaughter Natasha (Josh) Nauss, Heather Woods, special grandson Blake (Gabby Modrell) Leatherwood and Brandon Downing; great grandchildren; Latricia, Miley, Brody, Gannon, Teagan, Jackson, Max and Penelope; one great-great granddaughter on the way; one cousin, Carolyn Fullenkamp; one sister-in-law, Suzanne Fleming Deskin; special friends, Deb Heater and Deborah Carter; her precious dog, Harry; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Carl Parrish, two granddaughters Danera Leatherwood and Tricia Conn, son-in-law Dennis Brooks; two brothers Joe Hoffeditz and Laurence Hoffeditz and one sister Jeanne Logan.
A private graveside committal service for Mrs. Havenhill will be Monday, May 6 at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
