Earnest Bufford Timmerman, 77, of Burlington, died Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. Born September 18, 1948, in Burlington, he was the son of Earnest Arthur and Virginia Manifee Burkett Timmerman. &nbsp; Earnest worked for Vista Bakery for 28 years. He started as a maintenance operator and eventually moved up to the role of supervisor. Earnest was a huge sports fan. He loved watching the Chicago Cubs, Packers, Nascar, Iowa Women's Basketball, and the Indiana Fever. In his free time, he enjoyed going fishing and watching old Western movies.&nbsp; Survivors include his son, Earnest A Timmerman of Bethalto, IL; and one sister, Melody Peterson of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Jack; and two sisters Joyce Colton and Diane Miller.&nbsp; There will be no visitation or services. Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.
