Donna Jean Newland, 89, of Burlington, died Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Oakview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.

Born June 28, 1936, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Everett J and Helen V Lile (Dahn). &nbsp;On February 16, 1957, she married Bobby G Newland in Fort Madison. She was a charter member of West Burlington Christian Church along with her husband, Bob. She enjoyed traveling, loved her church, watching her grandchildren play sports, and spending time with her family.&nbsp;

Survivors include two sisters; Marguerite V Lile of Burlington IA, and Betty (Ron) D Hillard of Burlington IA; her three children; Rhonda (David) VanRheenen of Pleasantville, IA, Michael (Christi) Newland of Kansas City, MO, Sara (Ryan) Oleson of Danville; and ten grandchildren, David, Taylor (Amber), Blake, Zachary, Valentine, Ephram, Annabelle, Cordell, Calysta and Owen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Lucile D Sommers, her sister Evelyn F Rash, her brother Everett J Lile Jr, her brother Raymond D Lile, and her brother in infancy Robert F Lile.

Donna's family will receive guests from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2026, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

The funeral service for Donna will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at West Burlington Christian Church,&nbsp;545 Melville Ave, West Burlington, with Pastor Dean Robinson officiating. &nbsp;Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.&nbsp;

Timothy J. “Tim” Brown, 76, of Burlington, died April 7, 2026 at the Lantern Park Specialty Care Center in Coralville, Iowa.

Born August 26, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Roy E. and Virginia Soethe Brown.

He was a graduate of Burlington High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart for his sacrifices.

He married Beth Buhmeyer on June 23, 1973 in Burlington at St. John Catholic Church.

Tim worked as a postal carrier for the U.|S. Post Office for 22 years until his retirement in March of 2009. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish.

He loved being outdoors especially hunting, fishing, boating, playing and watching sports. One of his biggest pleasures in life was watching and following his grandchildren’s activities. He was a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes and Detroit Tigers.

Survivors include his wife Beth Brown of Burlington; two children, Kristi Ervine and Nick (Jamie) Brown both of Burlington; four grandchildren, Alexandria Ervine, Sophie Brown, Daphne Brown and Roy Brown; brother Tom (Janelle) Brown and sister Carol Gebhardt both of Burlington; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan Gonterman and brother-in-law Ed Gebhardt.

The funeral service for Tim will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14th at St. John Catholic Church of Divine Mercy Parish. The Rev. Father Jacob Greiner will be the celebrant. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until to the time of the service on Tuesday. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Deanna L. Thele, 70, of Burlington, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Savannah Heights in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Born on September 30, 1955, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Bryan and Lois Martin Lewis.

Deanna was a graduate of West Burlington High School. She worked at Samules Jewelers for many years before she became a stay-at-home mother. Deanna enjoyed working out and attending Thai Chi classes at the Burlington YMCA. She was a member of the Burlington Moose Lodge and always could be found dancing with her friends. Most of all Deanna loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were extra special to her. She also loved being around her grand-dogs.

She is survived by her two children: Dan (Carolyn) Thele of Fairmont, W.V., and Lisa (Heath) McPherson of Mt Pleasant; five grandchildren: Hayleigh, Hayden, Liam, and Lorelei McPherson and Hildegard Thele; three siblings: Mike Lewis, Cindy Garrels, and Becky (Rick) Buford. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother in-law David Garrels.

Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

William Albert Stott, 70, of Mount Union, died Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at his home. Born April 13, 1955, at the family home in Mount Union, Iowa, he was the son of Roy William Stott and Dora Maud Hess Stott. Bill worked a variety of jobs over the years and most recently worked for Walmart Warehouse before retiring. &nbsp; He was a member of the Methodist Church. Bill loved his cats and enjoyed working on cars, gardening, and mowing lawns. He especially enjoyed the mowing he did for Mount Union Auto. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Stott, brother, Robert (Johna) Stott of Danville; his daughter, April (Chris) Bayers of Moscow, IA; granddaughters, Michelle and Madison Ray; great-grandchildren, Kyler, Grayson, and Bella, all of Muscatine. He is also survived by his son, Marshel Stott; granddaughter, Paityn, and grandson, Noah, all of Dallas City, Ill.; as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Beverly Susan Barlow,&nbsp;55, of Charleston, Iowa, died at 7:36 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at her home near Charleston. She was born on July 12, 1970, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Terry L. and Barbara Westfall Barlow.

She is survived by her son: Austin Lowry of Charleston; mother: Barbara&nbsp; (Mike) Casey; sister: Brenda (Stan) Felgar; step-brothers: Tim Casey and Shawn Casey. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father: Terry and husband: Robert Lowry.

Beverly graduated from Central Lee High School in 1988. She dedicated thirty-eight years of service to Mackay Mitchell in Mt. Pleasant. In her free time, she found joy in crafting, tending to flowers, and working in her yard. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.

A visitation with family receiving friends will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson.

Herbert George Price, 78, of Burlington, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home after a thirteen-year battle with nonsmoking lung cancer. Herbert was born June 23, 1947, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the only child of Margaret Josephine Stump of Selma, Iowa, and Noel Evans Price of Milton, Iowa. &nbsp; He attended Fort Madison schools till the second grade, when he was removed from the school system because of behavioral problems and was sent to the Mental Health Institute in Independence, Iowa.&nbsp; He returned briefly to the Fort Madison school system but was returned to MHI in Independence for a second time. &nbsp; After returning to his parents' care, he was home-schooled by his mother. In 1969, he left home and lived at the YMCA in Burlington while employed.&nbsp; He passed the GED test later in 1969 and began attending Southeastern Community College part-time.&nbsp; He earned an AA from SCC in 1973. On November 2, 1974, he married Sally Anne Kerr.&nbsp; She worked as a Registered Nurse, and Herbert worked in a factory while they saved for the cost of a four-year college.&nbsp; In 1975, they quit their jobs and began studies at the University of Northern Iowa.&nbsp; Sally chose to get a BA degree in speech and theater, and Herbert took business courses till he decided on a major in accounting.&nbsp; Twenty months after beginning studies in Accountancy, Herbert sat for and passed all parts of the CPA exam.&nbsp; His total GPA from both colleges was 3.75. Despite his success academically, Hebert was unable to satisfy the speed expectations of the CPA firms he worked for.&nbsp; He left the accounting profession and worked in a factory to support his family.&nbsp; Sally had returned to her work as an RN.&nbsp; Herbert and Sally adopted two children, Loren, through private placement, and Anna through Catholic Charities.&nbsp; Herbert and Sally have seven grandchildren: Blaze, Braddock, Tod, Kiya, Keizer, Harper, and Ashton. Herbert has always enjoyed an interest in cemeteries, toy trains, and Studebaker automobiles.&nbsp; For many years, he was chairman of the Des Moines County Pioneer Cemetery Commission.&nbsp; Later in life, he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Survivors include wife, Sally Price; children, Loren (Tennille) Price and AnnaLea Walker; grandchildren, Blaze, Braddock, Tod, Kiya, Keizer, Harper, and Ashton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Margaret. Melissa Darlene Copeland, 55, of Fort Madison, died Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her home. &nbsp;She was born February 4, 1971, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the only child of Marvin and Bertha Noon Copeland. &nbsp;

Melissa had a quick wit, and was often heard saying “What comes around, goes around.” &nbsp;She enjoyed music, cooking, and her fur babies, usually cats. &nbsp;Being an only child she was the apple of her daddy’s eye.

She is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her cat, Ford. &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents.

Melissa Darlene Copeland

Paula Louise Anderson, 90, of Burlington, died Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Solon Care Center in Solon, Iowa.

Born December 6, 1935, in Haskins, Iowa, she was the daughter of Paul Leroy and Alberta M. (Farrington) Edwards. She married Leonard Anderson on April 14, 1956. He preceded her in death January 21, 2015.

Paula worked for 26 years in food service for the Burlington School System until her retirement in 1999. She was a very devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was involved in Questers, and various Bridge Clubs in the area.

Paula was very creative and social as she very much enjoyed dancing, sewing, playing bridge, collecting antiques, and attending musical and artistic events in the area.

Every winter, for many years, until Leonard's death, they traveled to Texas with their dearest friends Verlyn and Sheila Westra, and Bob and Diane Mansheim.

Survivors include her three sons; Jeff (Debra) Anderson of Mason, Ohio, Bryan Anderson of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and Glenn (Alma) Anderson of Iowa City, Iowa; Sister Maralie Hoskins of Iowa City, Iowa, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents Paul and Alberta Edwards, Brother, Lyle Edwards, and Father and Mother-in-Law, John and Plommie Anderson.

The memorial funeral service for Paula will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Pastor DaMisha McFarland-Pollock will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.

According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

She was a very devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was involved in Questers, and various Bridge Clubs in the area.Paula was very creative and social as she very much enjoyed dancing, sewing, playing bridge, collecting antiques, and attending musical and artistic events in the area.Every winter, for many years, until Leonard's death, they traveled to Texas with their dearest friends Verlyn and Sheila Westra, and Bob and Diane Mansheim.Survivors include her three sons; Jeff (Debra) Anderson of Mason, Ohio, Bryan Anderson of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and Glenn (Alma) Anderson of Iowa City, Iowa; Sister Maralie Hoskins of Iowa City, Iowa, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by her parents Paul and Alberta Edwards, Brother, Lyle Edwards, and Father and Mother-in-Law, John and Plommie Anderson.The memorial funeral service for Paula will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Ruby Eileen Chaillie, 73, of Burlington, died Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born November 19, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of Harvey V. and Alice Keyian Peters. She married Paul E. Chaillie on October 23, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ruby was a law and business executive assistant and more recently worked as an Administrative Assistant in the food service department for the Burlington School District until her retirement in 2015.

Ruby LOVED JESUS! She taught children’s classes at various churches along with donating her time and talents. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, playing the piano, traveling and taking cruises.

She is survived by her husband Paul E. Chaillie of Burlington, two daughters, Nicole Chaillie and Mary Campbell both of Burlington; three grandchildren, Matthew Whaley of Burlington, Rebecca Whaley of Clinton, Iowa and Julie Campbell of Burlington; brother John (Buggs) Peters of Morse Bluff, Nebraska; two sisters, Becky (Hawley) Skilton of Hayden, Idaho and Linda Ballard (Cliff Pranschke) of San Jose, California; brother-in-law Errol (Paula) Chaillie of Godley, Texas and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Alice Peters.

A private graveside committal will be held in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Burlington Foursquare Gospel Church.

Jean Ann Rabong, 84, of West Burlington, died Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.

Born December 20, 1941, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Vernon William “Bill” and Beatrice Eloise Baker Thomes. She married Hans Rabong on May 1, 1970.

Jean worked for Winegard Co. from 1966 to 1970 and then began work in the loan department for Farmers &amp; Merchants Bank and Trust from 1980 until her retirement in 2005.

Virginia R. Overhake, 89, of Burlington, died Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington. Born August 4, 1936, she was the daughter of Chester and Lola Henthorn Freeman. She married Edward Overhake Sr. He preceded her in death.

Virginia worked as a waitress and a housekeeper. She was the long-time housekeeping manager for the Holiday Inn hotel in Burlington.

She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.

She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved to sew, play bingo and especially loved her church.

She is survived by her four children; Ed (Barb) Overhake Jr., Michael Overhake Sr., Wayne Overhake and Candy Kay Jape; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

V. Maxine Setterberg Danneman, age 97, of Burlington, died Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the OakView Nursing Home.

Born October 3, 1928, in Eldora, she was the daughter of Archie Clint and Clara Mae Howell Clemons. &nbsp;

She graduated from Eldora High School.&nbsp;

Maxine worked numerous jobs, including the American Dixie Shops as an assistant manager, Sylvania, J.C. Penney Company, Jefferson Hat Shop, Iowa Southern Utilities and Perkins School where she worked with special needs children.

Maxine enjoyed music, dancing and reading. &nbsp;She taught cooking classes to Girl Scouts when she was employed at I.S.U. &nbsp;Maxine attended the First Christian Church and Sunday School and she was a member of the Golden Oldies and Senior Center. &nbsp;

Survivors include several nieces and nephews; and good friend, Pam Vroom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Arlo Clemons, Gareld Clemons, Ronald Clemons, Verna Manley, Iola Clemons, Leona Reece, and Rosalie Clemons; and a few nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The memorial service for Maxine will be Friday, April 10, 2 PM, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street, with Reverend David J. Yonker officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow at in Aspen Grove Cemetery. &nbsp;A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh Funeral Service following the burial.

Linda Susan McEntee, 71, of Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026 at her home.

Linda was born on October 30, 1954, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Tommy &amp; Dolores (Richers) LaVelle. She graduated from Dallas City High School in 1972. On November 17, 1973, she was married at SS Peter &amp; Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo, IL, to David Hogan, who preceded her in death. On June 10, 1977, she married Gene McEntee at SS Peter &amp; Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo, IL, who survives.

Linda was a homemaker &amp; mother staying at home with the children until they all were in school. She then worked part-time until they were all in high school. She worked for Outlaw Tees &amp; Nauvoo Cheese Co, Nauvoo, IL then at Huffman Welding &amp; Machine, Inc. in Fort Madison, IA retiring in 2017. Linda enjoyed many activities in her life but enjoyed spending time with her family &amp; friends the most.

Linda is survived by her husband Gene of Nauvoo, IL, 4 children (which she always referred to as 8 children.) She married Randy J. Powell on September 1, 1983, in Burlington. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2019.

Corinne worked as a laundry attendant for Great River Entertainment. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by two brothers, Larry Weak of Burlington and Mark Weak of Cedar Falls; sister-in-law Rhonda Weak and nieces and nephews.

Ronald M. Brandenburg, 89, of Burlington, died Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born on May 24, 1936, in Burlington, he was the son of Melvin and Hazel Brandenburg. On June 4, 1977, he married Roberta L. Stahl. She preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2019.

Ronald was a 1954 graduate of Burlington High School. He worked for Champion Spark Plug for thirty-two years until his retirement. Together with Roberta they managed Park Madison Apartments. For sixty years, Ronald shared a deep love of league bowling with Roberta, bowling both single and mixed leagues, and the two rarely missed a chance to spend an evening dancing together. Watching them dance was something everyone loved. Some of his happiest moments were spent at his cabin. Fishing, fires, playing cards, boating, and planting his flowers. He also enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and enjoying every moment spent with family he dearly loved. Ron was also a devoted Cardinals Baseball and Chicago Bears football fan.

He is survived by his children: Brandi Hansel (Luke Bell) of North Liberty, Iowa, Ron Ty (Brittanie) Brandenburg, of Burlington, Bridgette Brandenburg of Burlington, Lori Cooley of Solon, Iowa, Rhonda Frandsen of Overland Park, Kansas, Joey (Dana) Brandenburg of Palmyra, Missouri, and Lisa (Dean) VanPelt of El Paso, Texas; nine grandchildren: Austin and Presley Hansel, Adessa, Ava, Addilyn Brandenburg, Kingston, Kennix, and Kayden Brandenburg and Ryan Mehaffy; sister Marge (Don) Setterberg of Ames, Iowa. He is also survived by Lily, his dog and best friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Roberta, sister Sharon Brandenburg and his other best dog friends: Lana, Breezy and Baby.

To all who knew him, Ronald will always be remembered for his kindness, quick humor, gentle heart, and his rare gift of never meeting a stranger—only friends he hadn’t made yet.

Watching them dance was something everyone loved. Some of his happiest moments were spent at his cabin. Fishing, fires, playing cards, boating, and planting his flowers. He also enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and enjoying every moment spent with family he dearly loved. Born May 28, 1972, in Iowa City, he was the son of David Lee and Wanetta "June" Leibli. David loved spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or camping. Robert Mark “Bob” Daugherty, 69, of Dallas City, Ill., passed away at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, following a courageous ten-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia at River Valley Place of Fort Madison, Iowa.&nbsp; Bob was born June 24, 1956, the son of Robert H. and Eileen M. Davison Daugherty in Burlington. On September 18, 1976, he married Janice Fowler in Colusa, Illinois. She survives. Bob was a 1974 graduate of Fort Madison High School. Following graduation, he was employed at General Electric in Burlington, as well as, Seventh Son Termite &amp; Pest Management. Bob went on to work at DuPont in Fort Madison for 35 years, where he retired as a supervisor on October 31, 2014. Mr. Daugherty was also a member of the Colusa Volunteer Fire Department.&nbsp; Bob enjoyed horseback riding, attending the Fort Madison Rodeo, visiting the Lake of the Ozarks with friends and going on cruises with his wife and siblings. Doreen Reed, age 90, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Oak Lane Nursing &amp; Rehab in Stronghurst, Illinois. She was born September 14, 1935 in Fort Madision, IA, the daughter of Ben and Inez (Nolte) Pollmeier. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Dean Mellinger, on August 25, 1956, they had two children, Kay and Ronnie. That marriage ended prior to her moving to LaHarpe. She was married to Eugene Reed for a short period of time.&nbsp; Doreen was a 1953 graduate of Fort Madison High School. She was raised on a farm outside of Fort Madison where she enjoyed riding horses. She mentioned that when she played the piano, her horse would dance outside the window. She loved animals especially her dogs as well as family members dogs. She talked about how she loved to dance and go roller skating in Dallas City. She loved to fish; which she passed down to her kids. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and cleaning her house. In her earlier years, she worked at Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison, Associates Financial Services in Burlington and retired from Blandinsville Bank. She earned her Real Estate Broker license which she was very proud of. Hugh C. Stoermer, 87, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Klein Center in West Burlington, Iowa, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 27, 1938, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Elmer and Mary (Tesch) Stoermer. On June 11, 1961, in Rock Island, Illinois, he married Colleen J. Looney. She preceded him in death on October 21, 2019.

Hugh was a graduate of Burlington High School and was a United States Army veteran. Hugh worked for Bonewitz Chemical until it closed and then worked for General Electric until his retirement. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He was a huge sports fan, enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Hugh was a hard worker, an amazing provider, father, and grandfather to his entire family. He was very sociable and made a friend anywhere he went. He loved nothing more than to be with his family or at a family reunion and he would never pass up the opportunity to relish in a vodka squirt.

He is survived by his seven children: Marjorie (Bill) Fry of Burlington, Sally Stoermer-Worrell of Gallatin, TN, David (Bo) Stoermer of Dixon, IL, Michael (Vickie) Stoermer of Urbandale, IA, Wade (Robin) Stoermer of Columbia, MO, Heidi (Douglas) Watts of Burlington, and Holly (Jason) Crabb of Davenport, IA; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Susan Drawve of Stockton, CA, a nephew and a great niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Colleen.

The memorial service for Hugh will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor David Yonker officiating. Military Rites will be rendered by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. Ethel Frances Williams, 82, of Burlington, died Friday, March 27, 2026, at her home.

Born August 5, 1943, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Frank Seivert and Ruby Irene McIntire Hendrickson. On October 12, 1969, she married Roger Lee Williams in Olena, IL. &nbsp;

Ethel was a photographer and a party planner for many years.

She was a devoted member of Faith Bible Church, where her faith and fellowship were an important part of her life. Ethel especially enjoyed crocheting and crafting, spending countless hours creating beautiful handmade pieces.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Williams of Burlington; six children, Aaron (Lindy) Williams of Danville, Jason Williams of Washington, IL, Laurel (Jeff Good) Williams of Burlington, and Angie Hendrickson of Monmouth, IL; Paula (Steve) Haight of Cedar Rapids and Linda Wagner of Wever; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, Melvin, Dan, Wayne, Clyde, Jim, Lawrence and Earl Henrickson, and one sister, Betty Hosack.

Mary Rose O'Daniels, 100, of Burlington, died Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born June 16, 1925, in Braddock, PA, she was the daughter of George and Mary Petruska Rosipayla. On October 11, 1944, she married Richard Leland O'Daniels in Portsmouth, Virginia. He passed on February 3, 2020.

She was a graduate of Braddock High School in Braddock, Pennsylvania&nbsp;

Mary worked for IRC-TRW for 23 years. &nbsp;

She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish and St. Theresa Circle. &nbsp;She enjoyed quilting, making over 150 quilts and donated many. &nbsp;She also enjoyed baking. &nbsp;

Survivors include one son, Bob O'Daniels of Camano Island, WA; three daughters, Diane Croft and Kathy Akers, both of Eldridge, IA, and Patricia O'Daniels of Arlington, TX; one daughter-in-law, Kerry O'Daniels of Cave Creek, AZ; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Rosipayla of Castle Rock, CO; one sister, Helen Newman of Trafford, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Rick O'Daniels, one grandson, Brian O'Daniels and one granddaughter, Stephanie Cruchlow.

Lange, 68, of Burlington, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.&nbsp; Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder &amp; Hollenbaugh Funeral &amp; Cremation Services of Mediapolis.&nbsp; Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the funeral home.&nbsp; Burial will be in the Dodgeville Cemetery.&nbsp; Following the committal services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Drake in Burlington.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Southeastern Renal Dialysis in memory of Tamie.&nbsp; Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.&nbsp;

Tamaria Jean Snyder was born on January 5, 1958, in Burlington, Iowa. She was the daughter of H. Thomas and Carol Jean (Parker) Snyder. Tamie was united in marriage to Danny Lange in 1976 and later divorced. She later met her life partner, Jerry Stevens. Tamie was a homemaker while her children were young then worked as a teller at Valley Savings Bank, receptionist at Deery Brothers, flight attendant for American Airlines, customer service at Hy-Vee as well as FastBreak.&nbsp; She enjoyed being outdoors, mowing her yard, gardening and canning, but most of all, Tamie loved to be with her grandchildren and attending all their events. &nbsp;

	Tamie will be deeply missed by her husband, Jerry Stevens of Burlington; her children, Brad (Heather) Lange of West Burlington and Adam (Suzanne) Lange of Burlington; grandchildren, Gracie (Erik) Beckman, Parker Lange, Gage Lange, Kale Lange and Garrett Lange; brother, Jess T. Snyder of Panama City, Panama and sister Sherry R. (Jim) Lees of Burlington.

Tamie was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Darlene Stevens and brother, R. Scott Snyder.

Whether feeding nursing home clients and restaurant patrons or helping Eagles customers, she graced every job with a genuine desire to make a difference.&nbsp; Her nurturing spirit led her pastimes, too. She crocheted many beautiful hats and blankets for school children, unhoused people, and infants in need, offering warmth and comfort from her loving hands. She cherished her children and grandchildren above all, creating a home full of laughter, kindness, love, and deliciousness.&nbsp; Sandi loved trying new recipes and sharing treats with loved ones.&nbsp; Sandi's strength, humor, and positivity shone, even in difficult times. Her ability to find joy in the simplest pleasures and see the good in almost everyone enriched the lives of family and friends.&nbsp; She faced life's challenges with bravery, grace and optimism, exemplifying the power of smiles and kind words. Sandra J. Johnson

Helen F. Bickel, 92, of West Burlington, Iowa, died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born on January 11, 1934, she was the daughter of Jesse and Essie Bendge James. On May 27, 1955, she married Claude G. Bickel. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2002.

Helen was a graduate of Bloomfield High School. She worked for Northwestern Bell as a telephone operator for many years. In her free time, she loved to sew quilts, play Mahjong and follow family members on Facebook. For many years Helen studied her family genealogy and would take family members to libraries and cemeteries and tell them all about their ancestors. Most of all Helen loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons: James (Karen) Bickel and Gene Bickel all of Burlington; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Claude, daughter Essie Reida, granddaughter Jaquline Garrett and grandson Carl Garrett and three sisters.

Burial will be held in South Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Milton, Iowa.

Gerald Eugene Hancock, 72, of Burlington, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born on December 20, 1953, in Grafton, North Dakota, he was the son of Herman and Marion Dougherty Hancock. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1971. On April 11, 1981, in Middletown, Iowa, he married Valorie Strunk.

Gerald was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in Desert Storm. He worked as a pipefitter for BNSF for 30 years until his retirement in 2020. Gerald was a member of the First Christian Church, loved model trains, going to Old Threshers, fishing, football, animals, and spending time with his family.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Valorie of Burlington, two children: William (Erica) Hancock of Iowa City, and Zechariah Hancock of Burlington; three grandchildren: Hunter, Jaxon, and Colton; siblings: Keith (Peggy) Hancock of Media, Illinois, Glen (Carla) Hancock of Burlington, Lou Hancock of Burlington, and Katherine (Dave) Pumell of Sedalia, Missouri.

The funeral services for Gerald will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at Lunning Chapel. Pastor David Yonker will officiate. The Burlington Honor Guard will perform military rites. Burial will be held at Aspen Grove.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 ~ 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Lunning Chapel.
