Wilfred&nbsp; Joseph "Tim" Thimmesch, 98, died peacefully Friday morning, April 24. He was just 3 weeks shy of his 99th birthday.

He was born in a farmhouse in southeast Minnesota on May 12, 1927, to Joseph and Marie Klegseth Thimmesch. He was the oldest of five, followed by Mary Ann, Junella, Stephen (Sarah) and Wendell (Marj). As a young boy, his family moved around a lot following his Dad to where the work was. A few of the places they traveled to were New Albin; Church; and Guthrie, Mo. They ended up in Burlington, after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor in 1941, so that his Dad could work at the ammunition plant.

In 1942, when he was 15, he went to work for a local farmer. In the fall while waiting for the school bus his junior year he met Aurel Warner, the love of his life. Immediately drafted when he turned 18, he completed infantry training in Texas. Interesting enough, his Dad was also drafted since he was only 36 when the war started. Tim came home on leave in November, 1945 and married Aurel. They were married for 65 years and blessed with 2 children, Michael (Diane) and Kathleen, 6 grandchildren – Michelle (Jason), Matt (Sherri), Jenna (Clint), Erica (Slade), Sara (Brian) and Jayne (Jess) and 11 great-grandchildren.

During his working years he was a self-employed carpenter. After work, he would come home and work on his 100 acre “hobby” farm. In 1978 he parceled off 2 acres of his Dad’s farm in Burlington and built his and Aurel’s home by hand. He continued living there after she was called home in 2010, even tending to his lawn until 2 weeks before his passing. In his lifetime he loved fixing boats and cars, fishing, hunting, camping and boating. A couple of his proudest accomplishments were refurbishing a 1950s Chris Craft wood boat and multiple 1960s Mustangs. Tim loved his furry friends and had many German Shepards throughout his lifetime. His faithful companion to the end was Pepper, a rescue that even visited him in hospice thanks to his granddaughter Sara and her husband Brian.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister Mary Ann and his daughter, Kathleen.

The funeral service for Tim will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor David Yonker officiating. The visitation for Tim will be held one hour before the service, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Lunning Chapel, where the family will meet with friends. Military rites will be conducted by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Aspen Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for St. Joseph’s Indian School, Rosebud Reservation, Chamberlain, S.D., as both Tim and Aurel loved the Native American spirit.

Timothy Allen Sayres, 67, of West Burlington, died peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Klein Center in West Burlington, Iowa.

Tim was born on October 3, 1958, in Burlington, Iowa to Norman and Frances Wilkerson Sayres. He was a 1977 graduate of Danville High School

Timothy worked as a semi-truck driver and later Odessa Mechanical Contracting. He retired due to health issues. In his free time, he enjoyed NASCAR, sprint car racing, and especially vintage sprint car racing with his cousins, the Ensminger family.

He is survived by his sister, Connie Wagner of West Burlington; three nieces, Heidi (Ted) Pallister of Wapello; Kari (Joel) Buck of Danville; Erin Carson Hickman of West Burlington; his aunt, Carolyn Samberg of Burlington; one great niece; six great nephews, one great-great niece and one great-great nephew. He is also survived by several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Cozell Wagner.

Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

A private burial will occur at a later date.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice, River Junction Neighborhood at the Klein Center, and New London Specialty Care for the compassionate care and support they provided to Tim.

Arnhild “Ann” Zaiser, 92, of Burlington, died Saturday, April 18, 2026, at her home in Addington Place.

Born April 9, 1934, in Germany, she was the daughter of Heinrich and Anna Harre Kammeier. She married Mark R. Zaiser on August 24, 1958, in Burlington. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1993.

Ann worked in production for Sylvania and IRC and later as a home health aide. In her younger years she worked for Oppeng and hand rolled cigars.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, sewing and loved to cook.

Survivors include her two sons; Dirk M. (Betty) Zaiser of Danville and Rex D. (Cinnamon) Zaiser of Burlington; three granddaughters, Savannah Sue Zaiser, Jessica Zaiser and Jenna Zaiser; seven great grandchildren and two sisters, Edda Zicker and Anita Kaisel both of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Helga Linde, Hanna Kock, Frederik Kammeier and Siegfried Kammeier.

The funeral service for Mrs. Zaiser will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Bethany Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

According to her wishes, cremation will be accorded following the funeral services. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 4 at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

Stacy Gayle Ross,&nbsp;47, of Denmark, Iowa, passed away at 7:43 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2026, at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born on February 15, 1979, in Burlington, the daughter of James and Gayla Riddle Young. On July 20, 2022, she married Todd Ross in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She is survived by her husband Todd; two daughters: Saundra (Tyreece) Small, Katherine (fiancé Owen Kruse) Beach; two grandchildren: Daxton and Haiden Small; father James Young; and&nbsp; brother J.B. (Teresa) Young.

She was preceded in death by her mother and maternal grandparents.

Stacy graduated from Danville High School and attended Southeastern Community College. She was a CNA and a stay at home mom.&nbsp; She was a member of the Denmark Fire Department Auxiliary and a coach for the Denmark Ball Association. Stacy enjoyed planting flowers, shopping with her daughters, traveling, and crafting, she was always excited about being a grandmother. Her daughters, husband and grandsons were her everything.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at Schmitz Funeral Home in West Point, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.&nbsp;

Lester Edward Schilling, 94, of Burlington, died on Friday, April 24, 2026, surrounded by his six children. Born November 30, 1931, in La Motte, Iowa, he was the son of Andrew and Christina (Berthel) Schilling. On September 10, 1955, he married Lavonne (Bonnie) Beck in Dubuque. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2019, after almost 64 years of marriage. Together, Les and Bonnie began their family and moved to Clinton, IA, Schenectady, NY, Pittsburgh, PA, Somerdale, NJ, and in 1977, settled in Burlington. Les was a 1950 graduate of Loras Academy and a 1959 graduate of Loras College in Dubuque. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954. After college, Les worked for A.Y. McDonald Co. and then General Electric, retiring from GE after 33 years. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, serving as a lector and on the Parish Council for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), St. Vincent de Paul Society, Hope Haven Board and served as a Black Knight Pallbearer. Les enjoyed golf, a good game of Euchre, and winters spent in Destin Florida with Bonnie. He was defined by his deep Catholic faith. His life was a testament to his beliefs, guided by kindness, patience, service, and integrity. Above all, Les cherished Bonnie and his family. Lester Schilling

Tommy C. Bowdre, 86, of Morning Sun, died Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born June 8, 1939, in Muscatine, Iowa, he was the son of Donald P. and Eloise M. Foster Bowdre. He was an Air Force veteran.

He married Carole Kruse on March 20, 1963. He worked for the Alaska Department of Transportation for over 30 years. He attended the Wapello Church of the Nazarene.

Tom enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting, but most importantly time spent with his family and his Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Bowdre of Morning Sun; four children, Russ (Sheryl) Snell of North Dakota, Angela McCarrell of Hollywood, California, Michele (Randy) Hoeft of Winter, Wisconsin, and Melissa (James) Thacker of West Burlington; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Earl, Donald Joe, Russell, Roy and Bill and one sister in infancy.

The graveside entombment for Tom will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Claude Perhealth will officiate.&nbsp; The family requests no flowers.

Larry Tilton Housewright, 88, of La Harpe, Ill., passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born Aug. 11, 1937, at the LaHarpe Hospital, the son of Malcolm and Pauline Tilton Housewright. In October of 1964, he married Carol Jean Dillon Housewright. She preceded him in death in 1989. On Dec. 12, 2024, he married Clara Sedberry in LaHarpe. Also preceding him in death are his parents and one brother, William Housewright. 

He is survived by his wife, daughter: Angela (Harley) Burr, son: Scott (Laura) Housewright; grandchildren: Alexander (Madelyn) Burr, Elaina Burr, Benjamin Burr and Lucas Housewright and one brother, Loy Housewright.

Larry was a life-long resident of La Harpe. He served one term as Alderman and one term as Mayor of La Harpe. He was a fourth generation building contractor and developed Park Lane housing development in LaHarpe. Larry worked in construction from the age of eleven until he was eighty years old. He farmed the family farms for 42 years, owned and operated the Tastee Freeze in La Harpe, when it was on the north side of Main Street. He also owned and operated a Western Auto hardware store on Main Street in La Harpe. He joined the Naval Reserves in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1963. In his later years, he drove a school bus for 18 years saying this was his “funnest” job. He loved the kids. Larry was an animal lover and was especially fond of all his cats Greggie, Bob, Tuffy and Fluffy. Also, an avid car collector, he loved convertibles the most and had five at one time.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks &amp; Beals Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in LaHarpe Cemetery with Rev. Lee Unger officiating.

Memorials may be made to The Barnicle Chapel Cemetery, in Steeleville, Missouri, where many of his ancestors are buried. Larry and family spent many years attending board meetings and assisting with the preservation of the cemetery.&nbsp;

Larry Housewright

Robert Benedict Long, 81, of Burlington, died Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born January 26, 1945, in Burlington, he was the son of Robert Kenneth and Mary Minetta Ostertag Long. On April 3, 1969, he married Maxine Mae Nichols in Augusta, Iowa. She died on Feb. 3, 2003. After reconnecting, he married Linda Lorraine Leffler on October 31, 2008, during the 7 a.m. Mass at SS. Mary and Patrick Catholic Church in West Burlington.

He was a 1963 graduate of Notre Dame High School. &nbsp;

Bob worked as a forklift driver at JI Case for 32 years until his retirement.

He was a faithful member of Divine Mercy Parish and took part in the Knights of Columbus as well as several prayer groups. Praying the rosary three times a day was an important part of his routine. Bob had a lifelong passion for trains and built an impressive model train display. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking projects and relaxing with westerns or mystery shows.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; daughter, Nickey (Tony Broeker) Long of Burlington; granddaughter, Anjali (Kevin) Deitrick of Waterloo; &nbsp;six step-children, Marlayna (Doug) Rogers of West Burlington, Tim (Tanty) Pfeiff of Jacksonville, FL, Terra Waggener of Burlington, Andrew Pfeiff of Lincoln, NE, Matthew (Jennifer) Ammirati of Williamsburg, and Mark (Taylor) Ammirati of Cary, NC; many step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren; sister, Christina (Richard) Murphy of Burlington; four nieces, Ann (Bill) Fort, Amy (Jim) Sterler, all of Burlington, Beth Runyan of Roseberg, OR, and Jennifer Simonds of Lebanon, OR; two nephews, Terry (Sylvia) Schnicker of Geneva, IL, and Jason Schnicker of Lebanon, OR and his sweet dog, LaTisha.

Jerry Allen Wasolaskus, 72, formerly of Newaygo, Mich., died Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born May 9, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he was the son of Bernard Frank Wasolaskus and Barbara Cross Zellinger.&nbsp;

He was a graduate of Grandville High School in Grandville, Mich.&nbsp;

Jerry worked for many years installing pools in Michigan.&nbsp;

He enjoyed fishing and hunting deer and small game. He truly loved installing above ground swimming pools. He had a gift for making everything look perfect and always level. His favorite part was the smile on peoples faces when he was done.&nbsp;

Survivors include his children, Ben Wasolaskus, Leisha Chmelik, Cara Thayer, Dana Chambers, and Kris Wasolaskus; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Terri Jasperse, step-brother, George Zellinger, numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and his best friend, Jim Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Denny Wasolaskus.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Tiyger Lee, 63, of Burlington, Iowa, died Friday, April 17, 2026, surrounded by her family at her home in Burlington.

Born on July 28, 1962, in Camp Pendleton, California, she was the daughter of Malcom Baldwin and Glenda Sue Myers. On August 11, 2011, in Burlington, she married David Lee. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2026.

Tiyger loved making crafts and jewelry. She had a gift for creating gnomes and was very artistic with any form of art. Tiyger was known for her crafts at craft shows prior to getting sick. She had a big heart for her pets but her friends were like family and family was her first priority. Spending time with family especially her grandchildren brought her the most joy.

She is survived by her mother Glenda Sue Myers; four children: Tiffany (Eric) Wiles of Georgia, Kenneth Baldwin of Nebraska, Shay Waddle of Virginia and David Lee of Louisianna; nine grandchildren: Mackenzie (Mac) Ludwig, Kennedy Ludwig, Eric (Monk) Wiles, Rainer Smith, Briella Wiles, Orion, Brently, Graysen, and Hailey Waddle and brother Michael McDonald of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her husband David, and adoptive father Malcom M. Baldwin.

Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

Azalea Ann Delgado, of Fort Madison, Iowa, gained her tiny angel wings on Monday, April 6, 2026, embraced by her family at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Born on April 6, 2026, in Iowa City, Iowa, she was the daughter of Christopher Delgado and Joanna Smith.

Despite Azalea’s short time on earth, she was deeply loved and cherished by her family. She loved hearing her mother's voice talking and singing to her while in her mother’s womb.

Azalea will forever be loved and remembered by her parents Christopher and Joanna. She is survived by several other family members who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by a grandmother Lori.

A celebration of Azalea’s life will be held at a later date.

Edwin “Eddie” L. Wade, 59, of Burlington, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.

Born October 1, 1966, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Donald and Sherry Strahn Wade.

Eddie was born with microcephaly and was told he would not live past the age of 15. However, it never stopped him from doing what he could. He was quite the character! He was an excellent judge of people and lovingly gave them all nicknames if they made the “cut”. He absolutely LOVED Randy Travis and listening to music, with bluegrass being his favorite, and he could endlessly watch “O Brother, Where Art Thou” and “Labrynth”

He is survived by his guardians Arron Doane and Mindy Dingman, and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.

The graveside funeral service and burial for Eddie will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16th at Aspen Grove Cemetery.

In honor of Eddie, it has been requested that you wear your favorite “funny” t-shirt.

A memorial has been established for the Special Needs Foundation in honor of Eddie.

David E. Ruberg, 74, of Burlington, died Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his home.

Born on November 12, 1951, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Eugene and Marion Kinney Ruberg. On November 7, 1980, in Burlington, he married Leslie Wilkerson. She survives.

David was a graduate of Burlington High School. He worked for General Electric as a design engineer for over thirty-five years until he retired. In his free time, he enjoyed going fishing, reading western books and gardening. David was mechanically inclined and could fix just about any car or engine.

He is survived by his wife Leslie; daughter April Rice of Burlington; step-children: Laurissa Mitchell of Burlington and Charles (Ashley) Mitchell of Ely, Iowa; twelve grandchildren: Sami Smith, Thomas Smith, Alex Rice, Matthew Rice, Paige Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell, Alex Lampe, Ceylon Puga-Mitchell, Emilia Mitchell, Haven Mitchell, and Charli Mitchell; two great grandchildren; four siblings: Michael (Young) Ruberg, Tim (Teresa) Ruberg, Lori Bohnenkamp and James (Rebecca) Ruberg. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Rhonda Sweezer and Sharon Anders; three nieces: Tanya Sweezer, Corina and Elizabeth Bohnenkamp.

Linda Ann Murphy, 83, of Burlington, died Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.

Born October 20, 1942, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harold Fred and Mary Lillian Johnson Seaman. On February 28, 1964, she married Thomas Rankin Murphy in Fort Madison.&nbsp;

She graduated from Burlington High School and went on to complete two years of junior college.

Linda worked at Sylvania before she left to raise a family. She was a devoted mother who dedicated most of her life to caring for her family.

She was very creative, using her creativity from creating greeting cards and ceramic, to decorate storefront windows around town. Linda enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs, raising many birds and learning about Abraham Lincoln by supporting the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Ill.

Survivors include her husband, Tom of Burlington; three sons, Christopher Thomas Murphy of Burlington, Michael Shawn (Nicole) Murphy of Chatham, IL, and Timothy Aaron (Steve Warren) Murphy of Springfield, IL; one daughter, Kelly Lynn (Dale) Johns of Burlington; two grandchildren, Daniel Murphy Johns, and Tara Lynn Johns; and one brother, James (Flo) Seaman of Gladstone, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Anna Larsen, 88, of New London, died Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. Born December 16, 1936, in New London, she was the daughter of Willis T and Mabel Celestine Sheppard Christe. On Nov., 1956, she married Rueben Johannas Larsen in Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1994. She attended Mount Union School. Mary worked as a Home Health Aide and a cook until she retired. She was of the Methodist faith. Mary enjoyed traveling and was always looking for a good deal at yard sales and garage sales. Survivors include her son, David Lee Larsen of Danville; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Patricia) Chirste of Thayer, Mo.; two nieces and eight nephews. James A. Gosney Sr., 81, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his home in Burlington. Born August 3, 1944, in La Grange, Missouri, he was the son of Robert and Minna Gosney.&nbsp; He married Joyce Wolkenhauer on July 21, 1963.

Jim was a graduate of Burlington High School.&nbsp; He worked various jobs.&nbsp; He worked for General Electric before he was laid off and then started working for J. I. Case Company for 32 years.&nbsp; After his retirement from Case, he began working for Hy-Vee on Angular in the meat department.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Gosney; daughter Dawn Thompson of Wisconsin, son Devin Gosney; son Daniel Gosney and daughter Debbie Diewold all of Burlington; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great grandson and brother Tim Gosney of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son James A. Gosney Jr., two brothers John and Billie and one sister Janey.

The funeral service for Jim will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 17th at Lunning Chapel.&nbsp; The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.&nbsp; The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. &nbsp;

According to his wishes, cremation will be accorded following the funeral service.&nbsp; Burial will be held at a later date in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jeri Denise Asbridge, 62, of Hamilton, Ill., passed away at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her home in Hamilton.

She was born on April 19, 1963, in Keokuk, the daughter of Thomas and Rogene Lunt Dye. She married Bob Hilgert. He preceded her in death. On June 8, 2013, she married Charles Kerry Asbridge at the United Methodist Church in Carthage.

She is survived by her husband Kerry; brother: John (Janene) Dye of Dahinda, Illinois; nephew: Jacob (Ashlee) Dye of Princeville, Illinois and niece: Lauren (David Hamilton) Dye of Wyoming, Illinois; step-children: Sumer (Adam) Allensworth - Wallace, Kane Asbridge and brother-in-law: Kris (Cheryl) Asbridge Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bob and brother-in-law: Kevin Asbridge.

Jeri earned her master’s degree in business from Western Illinois University and went on to work for the Harris Corporation and later Roquette America. She was an active member of the Women’s Civic Club in Quincy, as well as the Keokuk Yacht Club and the Southside Boat Club. Jeri had a passion for traveling and exploring new places. Above all, her love of family was very strong. She especially enjoyed activities with her niece, nephew and their children.

Her body has been entrusted to the crematory of Schmitz - Banks &amp; Beals Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hamilton, Illinois.

After high school, she worked in sales. Her job took her all over the United States. She loved to be outdoors, whether gardening, mowing, or helping others with landscaping projects. She also enjoyed going to yard sales, collecting “things” , and finding the perfect Christmas gifts for her family and fiends. Julie Theresa Williams, 101, of Burlington, died Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, surrounded by her family.

Born May 23, 1924, in Lovilia, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Soltis Kurimski. On September 4, 1948, she married Richard Williams in Burlington, Iowa.&nbsp;

Julie grew up in Lovilia, the daughter of Slovak immigrants. &nbsp;Julie was raised in a very multicultural environment. &nbsp;She always held on to her culture and language, routinely conversing in Slovak with her sisters throughout her life.

Julie went to work at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, the Telephone Company, and later operated the grocery department at Williams Food Market for over 25 years.

Julie enjoyed gardening - growing beautiful flowers and vegetables that her family looked forward to all year. &nbsp;Those vegetables would then be used as ingredients in the wonderful meals she made for her family.

She maintained a deep faith and the Catholic Church was the bedrock to her spiritual foundation. &nbsp;Moreover, she loved her family. &nbsp;Her husband, children and grandchildren meant the world to her. &nbsp;Julie's kindness and compassion will be missed, but her memory will be carried by all who love her.

Survivors include her sons, Mike (Tselha) Williams of Waterloo, Jon (Jane) Williams of Mediapolis, Ted Williams of Mediapolis, and Greg Williams of Ridgeway, WI; grandchildren, Mallory (Sean McGrath) Williams, Braden Williams, Sam Williams, Palden (Kelsey Schmidt) Williams, and Emma Williams; sister, Ann Scholer; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Steve and John; two sisters, Mary and Margaret.

Sharon K. Wyett, 75, of Danville, Iowa, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born on March 9, 1951, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Richard and Carol Timmerman Cluney Sr. On August 4, 1978, in Burlington, she married Richard “Dick” Wyett.

Sharon was a 1969 graduate of Danville High School. She worked for Contract Services Limited as a bookkeeper for over twenty-six years until it closed. Sharon had a pure, and caring heart for others, always putting family and friends before herself and making sure they were provided for and taken care of. She loved animals, and attending and volunteering for the Tri-State Rodeo. Any time her son was racing, you can bet Sharon was there watching him. Most of all Sharon loved being with her family, especially her three grandchildren whom brought her the most joy.

She is survived by her husband Dick; daughter Kari Wyett and son Sean (Danielle) Wyett all of Danville, three grandchildren: Maddi, Tate and Camber Wyett all of Danville; brother Richard Cluney of Danville and sister Jeanette Butts of Middletown. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathy Caldwell and nephew Chad Caldwell.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with burial being held in Long Creek Cemetery.

Deb loved playing bingo, going to the casino, diamond art and camping. She especially loved her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother; Howard Daniels of Illinois, 5 children, Anne Judd, Mike Daniels, Amanda Hogan of Burlington, Tonya Hogan of Danville and Tamora (Frankie) Smith of Denver, Iowa; her pet Rusty; Nine grandkids Abbie, Sam, Michael, Brianna (Lucky), Tony, Khristina, Dakota (Summer), D’Lissa and D.D; 16 great grandkids Delanee, Alexis, Brave, Isleen, OShun, Alli, Addi, Saturn, Astro, Aneri, Zane, Braxtyn, Liam, Tyrese, Oziyah and Lei Yanna; nephew Josh; nieces; Nikki, Heather, Sonya and her bonus sisters; Margaret Martin, Ramona Moyers and Sherry Bandy.

Debra S. Daniels

Linda (Rust) Walsh, 82, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Atrium Village in Hills, Iowa.

Born on January 21, 1944, to Leroy and Harriet Rust, Linda lived a life full of laughter, loyalty, and deep devotion to those she loved.

She graduated from Burlington High School in 1962, then graduating from Southeastern Community College in 1964. She went on to graduate from&nbsp;the Teachers College in Kirksville, Missouri, now known as Truman State University, where she earned her degree in Physical Education and Health. Linda dedicated her career to education, teaching in multiple schools throughout Burlington and leaving a lasting impression on countless students.

On July 24, 1971, she married the love of her life, Charles E. Walsh. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage built on unwavering love, partnership, and a lifetime of memories. They were truly inseparable. Whether spending time with family and friends, traveling, attending events, or simply enjoying each other’s company, they were always a package deal.

Linda was actively involved in the Burlington Fine Arts League, Hetta Gilbert, and built a wide circle of friendships that she cherished deeply. Among her closest were her Friday night group, “The Magnolias,” which originally included the late Marcia Barker, Nancy Remmers, and Joni Magdefrau, later joined by the late Connie Martin. These gatherings were filled with laughter, storytelling, and lifelong friendship.

To know Linda was to know someone who was witty, spirited, intelligent, and unapologetically herself. She was the life of the party, known for her humor and her unforgettable “shenanigans” – from standing on a garage roof in a cheerleading outfit calling out cheers, to being crowned “homecoming queen” later in life, parading around town in a convertible with her friends.

She loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, and many family holidays were planned around game time. Her home was always open – she didn’t mind a dozen pairs of shoes by the door and welcomed her children’s friends as her own.

Linda had a gift for caregiving and spent much of her life caring for family members through illness and hardship. She was fiercely loyal, a keeper of secrets, and a friend you could always count on. As she often joked, “If you don’t have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me.”

She was known for her tidy home, always-stocked kitchen, and for being a constant presence in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives – often serving as chauffeur, cheerleader, and biggest supporter. She was also a night owl who always seemed to know more than she let on.

Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable. She took immense pride in each of them and treasured hearing about their lives and accomplishments. Linda could always relate better to kids.&nbsp; She loved hearing about their daily lives and listening to their problems. She would share stories with them about her life and would always add humor to try to lighten their load. Her children, Charlie and Allison, were her pride and joy.&nbsp;

Linda lived a full and meaningful life – from humble beginnings to a home overlooking the river, always surrounded by love, laughter, and family. Above all, her greatest love was her husband. Their devotion to one another was constant and unwavering, a true partnership until the very end.

Linda is survived by her husband Charlie; her children Charles L. Walsh (Amy) and Allison Walsh; her beloved grandchildren Clayton Walsh, Catherine Walsh, Charles H. Walsh, Jackson Morris, Henry Morris, August Walsh, and Willa Kate Walsh; and several nieces and nephews, including Kelli Bonar (Jim), (late) Kyle Barker, and Kevin Barker.

 </figure>Linda (Rust) Walsh, 82, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Atrium Village in Hills, Iowa.Born on January 21, 1944, to Leroy and Harriet Rust, Linda lived a life full of laughter, loyalty, and deep devotion to those she loved.She graduated from Burlington High School in 1962, then graduating from Southeastern Community College in 1964. She went on to graduate from&nbsp;the Teachers College in Kirksville, Missouri, now known as Truman State University, where she earned her degree in Physical Education and Health. Linda dedicated her career to education, teaching in multiple schools throughout Burlington and leaving a lasting impression on countless students.On July 24, 1971, she married the love of her life, Charles E. Walsh. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage built on unwavering love, partnership, and a lifetime of memories. They were truly inseparable.
