Julie Theresa Williams, 101, of Burlington, died Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, surrounded by her family.

Born May 23, 1924, in Lovilia, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Soltis Kurimski. On September 4, 1948, she married Richard Williams in Burlington, Iowa.&nbsp;

Julie grew up in Lovilia, the daughter of Slovak immigrants. &nbsp;Julie was raised in a very multicultural environment. &nbsp;She always held on to her culture and language, routinely conversing in Slovak with her sisters throughout her life.

Julie went to work at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, the Telephone Company, and later operated the grocery department at Williams Food Market for over 25 years.

Julie enjoyed gardening - growing beautiful flowers and vegetables that her family looked forward to all year. &nbsp;Those vegetables would then be used as ingredients in the wonderful meals she made for her family.

She maintained a deep faith and the Catholic Church was the bedrock to her spiritual foundation. &nbsp;Moreover, she loved her family. &nbsp;Her husband, children and grandchildren meant the world to her. &nbsp;Julie's kindness and compassion will be missed, but her memory will be carried by all who love her.

Survivors include her sons, Mike (Tselha) Williams of Waterloo, Jon (Jane) Williams of Mediapolis, Ted Williams of Mediapolis, and Greg Williams of Ridgeway, WI; grandchildren, Mallory (Sean McGrath) Williams, Braden Williams, Sam Williams, Palden (Kelsey Schmidt) Williams, and Emma Williams; sister, Ann Scholer; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Steve and John; two sisters, Mary and Margaret.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Divine Mercy Parish-SS. Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, 500 W Mt Pleasant S, West Burlington.

The Memorial Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Williams will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Divine Mercy Parish-SS. Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, 500 W Mt Pleasant S, West Burlington with Fr. Jake Greiner as the Celebrant. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the Divine Mercy Parish-SS. Mary and Patrick Church Hall following the burial.

Sharon K. Wyett, 75, of Danville, Iowa, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born on March 9, 1951, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Richard and Carol Timmerman Cluney Sr. On August 4, 1978, in Burlington, she married Richard “Dick” Wyett.

Sharon was a 1969 graduate of Danville High School. She worked for Contract Services Limited as a bookkeeper for over twenty-six years until it closed. Sharon had a pure, and caring heart for others, always putting family and friends before herself and making sure they were provided for and taken care of. She loved animals, and attending and volunteering for the Tri-State Rodeo. Any time her son was racing, you can bet Sharon was there watching him. Most of all Sharon loved being with her family, especially her three grandchildren whom brought her the most joy.

She is survived by her husband Dick; daughter Kari Wyett and son Sean (Danielle) Wyett all of Danville, three grandchildren: Maddi, Tate and Camber Wyett all of Danville; brother Richard Cluney of Danville and sister Jeanette Butts of Middletown. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathy Caldwell and nephew Chad Caldwell.

Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with burial being held in Long Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her memory for Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House.

Deb was born July 17, 1960, in Burlington to Ray and Bonnie Daniels.

Deb loved playing bingo, going to the casino, diamond art and camping. She especially loved her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother; Howard Daniels of Illinois, 5 children, Anne Judd, Mike Daniels, Amanda Hogan of Burlington, Tonya Hogan of Danville and Tamora (Frankie) Smith of Denver, Iowa; her pet Rusty; Nine grandkids Abbie, Sam, Michael, Brianna (Lucky), Tony, Khristina, Dakota (Summer), D’Lissa and D.D; 16 great grandkids Delanee, Alexis, Brave, Isleen, OShun, Alli, Addi, Saturn, Astro, Aneri, Zane, Braxtyn, Liam, Tyrese, Oziyah and Lei Yanna; nephew Josh; nieces; Nikki, Heather, Sonya and her bonus sisters; Margaret Martin, Ramona Moyers and Sherry Bandy.

Debra S. Daniels

Linda (Rust) Walsh, 82, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Atrium Village in Hills, Iowa.

Born on January 21, 1944, to Leroy and Harriet Rust, Linda lived a life full of laughter, loyalty, and deep devotion to those she loved.

She graduated from Burlington High School in 1962, then graduating from Southeastern Community College in 1964. She went on to graduate from&nbsp;the Teachers College in Kirksville, Missouri, now known as Truman State University, where she earned her degree in Physical Education and Health. Linda dedicated her career to education, teaching in multiple schools throughout Burlington and leaving a lasting impression on countless students.

On July 24, 1971, she married the love of her life, Charles E. Walsh. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage built on unwavering love, partnership, and a lifetime of memories. They were truly inseparable. Whether spending time with family and friends, traveling, attending events, or simply enjoying each other’s company, they were always a package deal.

Linda was actively involved in the Burlington Fine Arts League, Hetta Gilbert, and built a wide circle of friendships that she cherished deeply. Among her closest were her Friday night group, “The Magnolias,” which originally included the late Marcia Barker, Nancy Remmers, and Joni Magdefrau, later joined by the late Connie Martin. These gatherings were filled with laughter, storytelling, and lifelong friendship.

To know Linda was to know someone who was witty, spirited, intelligent, and unapologetically herself. She was the life of the party, known for her humor and her unforgettable “shenanigans” – from standing on a garage roof in a cheerleading outfit calling out cheers, to being crowned “homecoming queen” later in life, parading around town in a convertible with her friends.

She loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, and many family holidays were planned around game time. Her home was always open – she didn’t mind a dozen pairs of shoes by the door and welcomed her children’s friends as her own.

Linda had a gift for caregiving and spent much of her life caring for family members through illness and hardship. She was fiercely loyal, a keeper of secrets, and a friend you could always count on. As she often joked, “If you don’t have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me.”

She was known for her tidy home, always-stocked kitchen, and for being a constant presence in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives – often serving as chauffeur, cheerleader, and biggest supporter. She was also a night owl who always seemed to know more than she let on.

Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable. She took immense pride in each of them and treasured hearing about their lives and accomplishments. Linda could always relate better to kids.&nbsp; She loved hearing about their daily lives and listening to their problems. She would share stories with them about her life and would always add humor to try to lighten their load. Her children, Charlie and Allison, were her pride and joy.&nbsp;

Linda lived a full and meaningful life – from humble beginnings to a home overlooking the river, always surrounded by love, laughter, and family. Above all, her greatest love was her husband. Their devotion to one another was constant and unwavering, a true partnership until the very end.

Linda is survived by her husband Charlie; her children Charles L. Walsh (Amy) and Allison Walsh; her beloved grandchildren Clayton Walsh, Catherine Walsh, Charles H. Walsh, Jackson Morris, Henry Morris, August Walsh, and Willa Kate Walsh; and several nieces and nephews, including Kelli Bonar (Jim), (late) Kyle Barker, and Kevin Barker.

She was proceeded in death by her sister Marcia Barker (Bruce), her brother Larry Rust and nephew Brad Barker.

Her legacy is one of love, strength, humor, and fierce loyalty. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

Virginia L. Manning, 99, of Burlington, Iowa, died Thursday, April 9, 2026, at New London Specialty Care Center in New London, Iowa.

Born on July 1, 1926, in Glenwood, Missouri, she was the daughter of Everett and Samantha Gates Lasley. On October 8, 1944, in Newton, Iowa, she married Lee O. Manning. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2012.

Virginia was a graduate of Glenwood High School. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, embroidery and canning the produce from her husband’s garden. Virginia and Lee enjoyed square dancing and held offices in several square-dancing organizations. Together they danced for over fifty years before Lee’s passing in 2012. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four children: Richard (Janet) Manning of Ocoee, Florida, Susan (David) Swanson of Crystal River, Florida, Cathy Moser of Burlington and Tom (Ella) Manning of Burlington; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee and two sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Lunning Chapel with Pastors David Yonker and Brooke Robbins officiating. Donna Jean Newland, 89, of Burlington, died Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Oakview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.

Born June 28, 1936, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Everett J and Helen V Lile (Dahn). &nbsp;On February 16, 1957, she married Bobby G Newland in Fort Madison. She was a charter member of West Burlington Christian Church along with her husband, Bob. She enjoyed traveling, loved her church, watching her grandchildren play sports, and spending time with her family.&nbsp;

Survivors include two sisters; Marguerite V Lile of Burlington IA, and Betty (Ron) D Hillard of Burlington IA; her three children; Rhonda (David) VanRheenen of Pleasantville, IA, Michael (Christi) Newland of Kansas City, MO, Sara (Ryan) Oleson of Danville; and ten grandchildren, David, Taylor (Amber), Blake, Zachary, Valentine, Ephram, Annabelle, Cordell, Calysta and Owen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Lucile D Sommers, her sister Evelyn F Rash, her brother Everett J Lile Jr, her brother Raymond D Lile, and her brother in infancy Robert F Lile.

Donna's family will receive guests from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2026, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

The funeral service for Donna will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at West Burlington Christian Church,&nbsp;545 Melville Ave, West Burlington, with Pastor Dean Robinson officiating. &nbsp;Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.&nbsp;

 </figure>Donna Jean Newland, 89, of Burlington, died Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Oakview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.Born June 28, 1936, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Everett J and Helen V Lile (Dahn). &nbsp;On February 16, 1957, she married Bobby G Newland in Fort Madison. She was a charter member of West Burlington Christian Church along with her husband, Bob. She enjoyed traveling, loved her church, watching her grandchildren play sports, and spending time with her family.&nbsp;Survivors include two sisters; Marguerite V Lile of Burlington IA, and Betty (Ron) D Hillard of Burlington IA; her three children; Rhonda (David) VanRheenen of Pleasantville, IA, Michael (Christi) Newland of Kansas City, MO, Sara (Ryan) Oleson of Danville; and ten grandchildren, David, Taylor (Amber), Blake, Zachary, Valentine, Ephram, Annabelle, Cordell, Calysta and Owen.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Lucile D Sommers, her sister Evelyn F Rash, her brother Everett J Lile Jr, her brother Raymond D Lile, and her brother in infancy Robert F Lile.Donna's family will receive guests from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2026, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.The funeral service for Donna will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at West Burlington Christian Church,&nbsp;545 Melville Ave, West Burlington, with Pastor Dean Robinson officiating. &nbsp;Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.&nbsp;A memorial has been established for West Burlington Christian Church.Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.

Timothy J. “Tim” Brown, 76, of Burlington, died April 7, 2026 at the Lantern Park Specialty Care Center in Coralville, Iowa.

Born August 26, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Roy E. and Virginia Soethe Brown.

He was a graduate of Burlington High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart for his sacrifices.

He married Beth Buhmeyer on June 23, 1973 in Burlington at St. John Catholic Church.

Tim worked as a postal carrier for the U.|S. Post Office for 22 years until his retirement in March of 2009. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish.

He loved being outdoors especially hunting, fishing, boating, playing and watching sports. One of his biggest pleasures in life was watching and following his grandchildren’s activities. He was a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes and Detroit Tigers.

Survivors include his wife Beth Brown of Burlington; two children, Kristi Ervine and Nick (Jamie) Brown both of Burlington; four grandchildren, Alexandria Ervine, Sophie Brown, Daphne Brown and Roy Brown; brother Tom (Janelle) Brown and sister Carol Gebhardt both of Burlington; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan Gonterman and brother-in-law Ed Gebhardt.

The funeral service for Tim will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14th at St. John Catholic Church of Divine Mercy Parish. The Rev. Father Jacob Greiner will be the celebrant. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until to the time of the service on Tuesday. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for The Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, 4130 Northwest Blvd, Davenport, IA 52806.

Deanna L. Thele, 70, of Burlington, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Savannah Heights in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Deanna was a graduate of West Burlington High School. She worked at Samules Jewelers for many years before she became a stay-at-home mother. Deanna enjoyed working out and attending Thai Chi classes at the Burlington YMCA. She was a member of the Burlington Moose Lodge and always could be found dancing with her friends. Most of all Deanna loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were extra special to her. She also loved being around her grand-dogs.

She is survived by her two children: Dan (Carolyn) Thele of Fairmont, W.V., and Lisa (Heath) McPherson of Mt Pleasant; five grandchildren: Hayleigh, Hayden, Liam, and Lorelei McPherson and Hildegard Thele; three siblings: Mike Lewis, Cindy Garrels, and Becky (Rick) Buford. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother in-law David Garrels.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

William Albert Stott, 70, of Mount Union, died Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at his home. Born April 13, 1955, at the family home in Mount Union, Iowa, he was the son of Roy William Stott and Dora Maud Hess Stott. Bill worked a variety of jobs over the years and most recently worked for Walmart Warehouse before retiring. &nbsp; He was a member of the Methodist Church. Bill loved his cats and enjoyed working on cars, gardening, and mowing lawns. He especially enjoyed the mowing he did for Mount Union Auto. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Stott, brother, Robert (Johna) Stott of Danville; his daughter, April (Chris) Bayers of Moscow, IA; granddaughters, Michelle and Madison Ray; great-grandchildren, Kyler, Grayson, and Bella, all of Muscatine. He is also survived by his son, Marshel Stott; granddaughter, Paityn, and grandson, Noah, all of Dallas City, Ill.; as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. Beverly Susan Barlow,&nbsp;55, of Charleston, Iowa, died at 7:36 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at her home near Charleston. She was born on July 12, 1970, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Terry L. and Barbara Westfall Barlow.

She is survived by her son: Austin Lowry of Charleston; mother: Barbara&nbsp; (Mike) Casey; sister: Brenda (Stan) Felgar; step-brothers: Tim Casey and Shawn Casey. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father: Terry and husband: Robert Lowry.

Beverly graduated from Central Lee High School in 1988. She dedicated thirty-eight years of service to Mackay Mitchell in Mt. Pleasant. In her free time, she found joy in crafting, tending to flowers, and working in her yard. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.

A visitation with family receiving friends will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Argyle Memorial Gardens in rural Argyle, with Pastor Tony Keefe officiating.

Herbert George Price, 78, of Burlington, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home after a thirteen-year battle with nonsmoking lung cancer. Herbert was born June 23, 1947, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the only child of Margaret Josephine Stump of Selma, Iowa, and Noel Evans Price of Milton, Iowa. &nbsp; He attended Fort Madison schools till the second grade, when he was removed from the school system because of behavioral problems and was sent to the Mental Health Institute in Independence, Iowa.&nbsp; He returned briefly to the Fort Madison school system but was returned to MHI in Independence for a second time. &nbsp; After returning to his parents' care, he was home-schooled by his mother. In 1969, he left home and lived at the YMCA in Burlington while employed.&nbsp; He passed the GED test later in 1969 and began attending Southeastern Community College part-time.&nbsp; He earned an AA from SCC in 1973. On November 2, 1974, he married Sally Anne Kerr.&nbsp; She worked as a Registered Nurse, and Herbert worked in a factory while they saved for the cost of a four-year college.&nbsp; In 1975, they quit their jobs and began studies at the University of Northern Iowa.&nbsp; Sally chose to get a BA degree in speech and theater, and Herbert took business courses till he decided on a major in accounting.&nbsp; Twenty months after beginning studies in Accountancy, Herbert sat for and passed all parts of the CPA exam.&nbsp; His total GPA from both colleges was 3.75. Despite his success academically, Hebert was unable to satisfy the speed expectations of the CPA firms he worked for.&nbsp; He left the accounting profession and worked in a factory to support his family.&nbsp; Sally had returned to her work as an RN.&nbsp; Herbert and Sally adopted two children, Loren, through private placement, and Anna through Catholic Charities.&nbsp; Herbert and Sally have seven grandchildren: Blaze, Braddock, Tod, Kiya, Keizer, Harper, and Ashton. Herbert has always enjoyed an interest in cemeteries, toy trains, and Studebaker automobiles.&nbsp; For many years, he was chairman of the Des Moines County Pioneer Cemetery Commission.&nbsp; Later in life, he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Survivors include wife, Sally Price; children, Loren (Tennille) Price and AnnaLea Walker; grandchildren, Blaze, Braddock, Tod, Kiya, Keizer, Harper, and Ashton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Margaret. Melissa Darlene Copeland, 55, of Fort Madison, died Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her home. &nbsp;She was born February 4, 1971, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the only child of Marvin and Bertha Noon Copeland. &nbsp;

Melissa had a quick wit, and was often heard saying “What comes around, goes around.” &nbsp;She enjoyed music, cooking, and her fur babies, usually cats. &nbsp;Being an only child she was the apple of her daddy’s eye.

She is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her cat, Ford. &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life and burial at Oakland Cemetery will be at a later date. &nbsp;Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Copeland family.

Paula Louise Anderson, 90, of Burlington, died Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Solon Care Center in Solon, Iowa.

Born December 6, 1935, in Haskins, Iowa, she was the daughter of Paul Leroy and Alberta M. (Farrington) Edwards. She married Leonard Anderson on April 14, 1956. He preceded her in death January 21, 2015.

Paula worked for 26 years in food service for the Burlington School System until her retirement in 1999. She was a very devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was involved in Questers, and various Bridge Clubs in the area.

Paula was very creative and social as she very much enjoyed dancing, sewing, playing bridge, collecting antiques, and attending musical and artistic events in the area.

Every winter, for many years, until Leonard's death, they traveled to Texas with their dearest friends Verlyn and Sheila Westra, and Bob and Diane Mansheim.

Survivors include her three sons; Jeff (Debra) Anderson of Mason, Ohio, Bryan Anderson of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and Glenn (Alma) Anderson of Iowa City, Iowa; Sister Maralie Hoskins of Iowa City, Iowa, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents Paul and Alberta Edwards, Brother, Lyle Edwards, and Father and Mother-in-Law, John and Plommie Anderson.

The memorial funeral service for Paula will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Pastor DaMisha McFarland-Pollock will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.

According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

Ruby Eileen Chaillie, 73, of Burlington, died Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born November 19, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of Harvey V. and Alice Keyian Peters. She married Paul E. Chaillie on October 23, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ruby was a law and business executive assistant and more recently worked as an Administrative Assistant in the food service department for the Burlington School District until her retirement in 2015.

Ruby LOVED JESUS! She taught children’s classes at various churches along with donating her time and talents. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, playing the piano, traveling and taking cruises.

She is survived by her husband Paul E. Chaillie of Burlington, two daughters, Nicole Chaillie and Mary Campbell both of Burlington; three grandchildren, Matthew Whaley of Burlington, Rebecca Whaley of Clinton, Iowa and Julie Campbell of Burlington; brother John (Buggs) Peters of Morse Bluff, Nebraska; two sisters, Becky (Hawley) Skilton of Hayden, Idaho and Linda Ballard (Cliff Pranschke) of San Jose, California; brother-in-law Errol (Paula) Chaillie of Godley, Texas and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Alice Peters.

A private graveside committal will be held in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Burlington Foursquare Gospel Church.

Jean Ann Rabong, 84, of West Burlington, died Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.

Born December 20, 1941, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Vernon William “Bill” and Beatrice Eloise Baker Thomes. She married Hans Rabong on May 1, 1970.

Jean worked for Winegard Co. from 1966 to 1970 and then began work in the loan department for Farmers &amp; Merchants Bank and Trust from 1980 until her retirement in 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Hans Rabong of West Burlington; daughter Heather Rabong of Middletown; son Shannon Rabong of St. Louis, Missouri, and brother Gary (Jean Ann) Thomes.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Kay Miller.

A private family graveside service and interment will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice and the Klein Center.

Virginia R. Overhake, 89, of Burlington, died Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington. Born August 4, 1936, she was the daughter of Chester and Lola Henthorn Freeman. She married Edward Overhake Sr. He preceded her in death.

Virginia worked as a waitress and a housekeeper. She was the long-time housekeeping manager for the Holiday Inn hotel in Burlington.

She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.

She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved to sew, play bingo and especially loved her church.

She is survived by her four children; Ed (Barb) Overhake Jr., Michael Overhake Sr., Wayne Overhake and Candy Kay Jape; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

Memorials are suggested to Shriner’s Hospitals and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals in her memory.

V. Maxine Setterberg Danneman, age 97, of Burlington, died Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the OakView Nursing Home.

Born October 3, 1928, in Eldora, she was the daughter of Archie Clint and Clara Mae Howell Clemons. &nbsp;

She graduated from Eldora High School.&nbsp;

Maxine worked numerous jobs, including the American Dixie Shops as an assistant manager, Sylvania, J.C. Penney Company, Jefferson Hat Shop, Iowa Southern Utilities and Perkins School where she worked with special needs children.

Maxine enjoyed music, dancing and reading. &nbsp;She taught cooking classes to Girl Scouts when she was employed at I.S.U. &nbsp;Maxine attended the First Christian Church and Sunday School and she was a member of the Golden Oldies and Senior Center. &nbsp;

Survivors include several nieces and nephews; and good friend, Pam Vroom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Arlo Clemons, Gareld Clemons, Ronald Clemons, Verna Manley, Iola Clemons, Leona Reece, and Rosalie Clemons; and a few nieces and nephews.

The memorial service for Maxine will be Friday, April 10, 2 PM, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street, with Reverend David J. Yonker officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow at in Aspen Grove Cemetery. &nbsp;A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh Funeral Service following the burial.

Linda Susan McEntee, 71, of Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026 at her home.

Linda was born on October 30, 1954, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Tommy &amp; Dolores (Richers) LaVelle. She graduated from Dallas City High School in 1972. On November 17, 1973, she was married at SS Peter &amp; Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo, IL, to David Hogan, who preceded her in death. On June 10, 1977, she married Gene McEntee at SS Peter &amp; Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo, IL, who survives.

Linda was a homemaker &amp; mother staying at home with the children until they all were in school. She then worked part-time until they were all in high school. She worked for Outlaw Tees &amp; Nauvoo Cheese Co, Nauvoo, IL then at Huffman Welding &amp; Machine, Inc. in Fort Madison, IA retiring in 2017. Linda enjoyed many activities in her life but enjoyed spending time with her family &amp; friends the most.

Linda is survived by her husband Gene of Nauvoo, IL, 4 children (which she always referred to as 8 children.) Born August 14, 1956, in Burlington, she was the daughter of James Lewis and Bessie Marie Weak.

She married Randy J. Powell on September 1, 1983, in Burlington. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2019.

Corinne worked as a laundry attendant for Great River Entertainment. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by two brothers, Larry Weak of Burlington and Mark Weak of Cedar Falls; sister-in-law Rhonda Weak and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Elden Weak.

Ronald M. Brandenburg, 89, of Burlington, died Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born on May 24, 1936, in Burlington, he was the son of Melvin and Hazel Brandenburg. On June 4, 1977, he married Roberta L. Stahl. She preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2019.

Ronald was a 1954 graduate of Burlington High School. He worked for Champion Spark Plug for thirty-two years until his retirement. Together with Roberta they managed Park Madison Apartments. For sixty years, Ronald shared a deep love of league bowling with Roberta, bowling both single and mixed leagues, and the two rarely missed a chance to spend an evening dancing together. Watching them dance was something everyone loved. Some of his happiest moments were spent at his cabin. Fishing, fires, playing cards, boating, and planting his flowers. He also enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and enjoying every moment spent with family he dearly loved. Ron was also a devoted Cardinals Baseball and Chicago Bears football fan.

He is survived by his children: Brandi Hansel (Luke Bell) of North Liberty, Iowa, Ron Ty (Brittanie) Brandenburg, of Burlington, Bridgette Brandenburg of Burlington, Lori Cooley of Solon, Iowa, Rhonda Frandsen of Overland Park, Kansas, Joey (Dana) Brandenburg of Palmyra, Missouri, and Lisa (Dean) VanPelt of El Paso, Texas; nine grandchildren: Austin and Presley Hansel, Adessa, Ava, Addilyn Brandenburg, Kingston, Kennix, and Kayden Brandenburg and Ryan Mehaffy; sister Marge (Don) Setterberg of Ames, Iowa. He is also survived by Lily, his dog and best friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Roberta, sister Sharon Brandenburg and his other best dog friends: Lana, Breezy and Baby.

Born May 28, 1972, in Iowa City, he was the son of David Lee and Wanetta "June" Leibli. David loved spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or camping. He was also an avid collector of skulls, motorcycles, and Avon bottles. He loved spending time with his family and his cat, Boo. Survivors include his mother, Wanetta "June" Leibli of Winfield; daughter, Sylvia Ann (Tanner) DeLong of Billings, Mont.; three sons, Austin David (Lacey) Leibli of Fort Madison, Noah Albert (Darien) Leibli of Wayland, Mo., Levi Cole (Shelby) Leibli of Anita; three grandchildren, Elana, Ethan and Tyler; fiancé, Cheryl Sturgis of Morning Sun; sister, Sue A. (Dave Hillman Jr.) Lite of&nbsp; Mount Pleasant; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and many aunts and uncles. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. A dual celebration of life for David A. and his father, David L. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Beach Shelter House at Lake Geode State Park. Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.

David Allen Leibli

Robert Mark “Bob” Daugherty, 69, of Dallas City, Ill., passed away at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, following a courageous ten-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia at River Valley Place of Fort Madison, Iowa.&nbsp; Bob was born June 24, 1956, the son of Robert H. and Eileen M. Davison Daugherty in Burlington. On September 18, 1976, he married Janice Fowler in Colusa, Illinois. She survives. Bob was a 1974 graduate of Fort Madison High School. Following graduation, he was employed at General Electric in Burlington, as well as, Seventh Son Termite &amp; Pest Management. Bob went on to work at DuPont in Fort Madison for 35 years, where he retired as a supervisor on October 31, 2014. Mr. Daugherty was also a member of the Colusa Volunteer Fire Department.&nbsp; Bob enjoyed horseback riding, attending the Fort Madison Rodeo, visiting the Lake of the Ozarks with friends and going on cruises with his wife and siblings. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.&nbsp; Besides his wife, survivors include three children: Tori (Paul) Savage of Niota, Illinois, Brent Daugherty of St. Louis, Missouri and Darcy (Nate) Miller of Montrose, Iowa; four grandchildren: Lori and Evan Savage, and Alivia and Jace Griffin and two sisters: Kathy (Leroy) Mabeus and Sherry (Ray) McKee both of Wever, Iowa.

Burial will be at a later date at Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established for Ronald McDonald House or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.&nbsp;
