Mrs. Patricia A. “Patty” Baltisberger, 76, of Burlington, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born in 1949 in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Phillip and Marguerite Bertrand. In 1971, Patty married James O. Baltisberger at St. John's Catholic Church in Burlington, Iowa.

Patty graduated from Burlington High School in 1967, and had worked for Winegard Company for ten years and then became a domestic home cleaner until her retirement. She enjoyed scrapbooking, taking care of her family and attending their sporting activities when they were growing up.&nbsp; Patty and Jim volunteered and ran the concession stands for both American Little League and Burlington High School sporting events for more than 15 years.&nbsp; Patty was a world-famous baker, and her recipe 'Mabel's Brownies' will go down in history as the greatest piece of chocolate to ever hit your lips. Her brownies and baked goods brought pure joy to family, friends, and coworkers for decades, served Marines in combat, and will be truly missed.&nbsp; She loved working in her flower gardens, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. &nbsp;

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jim; three sons, Aaron (Gwen) Baltisberger of Burlington, Patrick (Amber) Baltisberger, of West Liberty, and Kevin (Sonya) Baltisberger of Woodbridge, Virginia; Six grandchildren, Alyssa (Jesse) Hanson, Katie (Shandler) Powelson, Gavin, Nolan, Emma, and Adam; two great grandchildren, Barrett and Tamen; sisters and brothers, Phillip “Mickey” (Mariam) Bertrand, George Bertrand, Marguerite “Moggy” Lindsey, Charlotte Bertrand, and Virginia “Ginny” Hill; several nieces and nephews, and her cat, Sam.&nbsp;

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Theodore 'Teddy' Bertrand; sister-in-law, Alice Bertrand; brother-in-laws, Don Lindsey and Brent Hill.

The funeral service for Patricia A. Baltisberger will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 22nd, at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends and family from 9:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be at a later date in the Aspen Grove Cemetery Columbarium. Cremation will be accorded following the service.

A memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.

Donna was born on May 1, 1949, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Carl F. and Aileen (Anderson) Boecker. She was raised in Danville, Iowa, where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Danville High School and worked for many years in office settings, performing computer and administrative work at Murray Iron Works, IAAP, Southeastern Community College, Harmony Bible Church, and First Baptist Church. On June 12, 1970, she married Orville Weyrick. Together they raised three children: Devin, Brenna, and Joel. Donna enjoyed reading, oil painting, being outdoors, watching sunsets, tending her flowers, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. She loved the beauty of the Christmas season and, most of all, its true meaning. At home, she delighted in caring for her family. She especially cherished video calls with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. In her retirement years, she loved designing and decorating the homes she and Orville renovated and flipped. Tammy Ann Good, 62, of Lomax, Illinois, passed away at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at her home.

Tammy was born July 25, 1963 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of Ronald D. and Elaine (Smith) Good. In 1979 she married Rodney McIntyre. They later divorced. In 1989 she married Kevin Vaughn. They later divorced.&nbsp;

Tammy worked all of her life in healthcare; often working more than one job at a time to provide for her family. Her caring personality made healthcare the perfect fit for her. She was employed by Oak Lane Nursing &amp; Rehab in Stronghurst, Rosebush Gardens in Burlington and Henderson County Home Health, where she took pride in allowing her patients to stay in the comfort of their own home. Lastly, she was employed as Social Director for the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center, where she retired from.&nbsp;

In her free time, she enjoyed watching TV, especially episodes of Gun Smoke with her father. Most important to Tammy, was the time spent with her family.&nbsp;

Survivors include three children: Dena McIntyre of Lomax, David McIntyre of Lomax and Tiffany Davis of Watseka, Illinois; three grandchildren: Kyla, Alexis and Novalynn McIntyre; one sister: Sherry Good of Stronghurst and two nieces: Hannah Campbell and Caitlin Peterson.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Shane and Richard Good; one grandson: Ryan Davis and one nephew: Joshua Good.

Kristina Kay Bessine Seals, 58, of Burlington, died Saturday, November 15 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. She was born January 26,1967, in Burlington to Richard Charles and Betty Jean Sly Bessine. In 1988 she married Marcus Martin and they later divorced.

Kristina was a 1985 graduate of Notre Dame High School and of the Catholic faith. She worked as a Human Resources Manager at Alfagomma America, Inc. She enjoyed shopping, her dogs Bruiser, Baby, Reba and Gigi and absolutely adored time spent with her grandchildren.

Kristina is survived by her daughter Ashley (Matt) Grinnell of West Burlington; her sons Aric (Ashlee) Martin of Burlington and Anthony (Bethany) Martin of Fort Madison; six grandchildren; Cayden, Carsen, and Corben Grinnell; Mattelyn, Jaric, and Wrigley Martin; sisters Mary Bessine of Austin, Tx. and Cindy Bessine of Burlington; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Gene Bessine, and one nephew, Rayme Moore.

According to her wishes her body has been cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at the Crystal Lake Club, 657 Crystal Lake Road, Carman Illinois on Saturday, November 22 at 6pm.

Raymond David Spiekermeier,&nbsp;79, of West Point, passed away at 2 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at his home in West Point.&nbsp; He was born on July 23, 1946, in Fort Madison, the son of Raymond J.“Jargo” and C. Lucille Sickles Spiekermeier. On July 15, 1966, he married Charlotte Thompson at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in West Point. She preceded him in death on December 2, 2021.

He is survived by his daughter: Jean (Jim) Tennant of West Point, Iowa; grandsons: Chance (Kenzie) Tennant of West Point, Iowa, Chase (Jenna) Tennant of Norwalk, Iowa; great grandchildren: J.J. and Zoey; sisters-in-law: Audrey Diane of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Janet Horstman of Denmark, Iowa; brother-in-law: John Sander of Farmington, Iowa; two nephews whom he raised as sons: Dean (Angela) Sartain of Williamsburg, Virginia, Shawn (Kim) Thompson of Wever, Iowa and five nieces: Sandra, Jennifer, Kandys, Paula, Lori. Also surviving are several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Charlotte; sister-in-law: Sharon Sander; brothers-in-law: Dean Thompson, Duane Sartain and niece: Andrea Sartain.

Dave graduated from St. James School in 1964, top 12 of his class. He served in the United States Naval Reserve. He owned and operated the West Point Bee/Donnellson Star. Later he worked for Central Standard and Standard of Beaverdale. Dave was a member of St. James the Less Catholic Church, West Point Jaycees, West Point Fire and Rescue, Past Time Club, Amateur Trap Shooters and Prairie Hunters. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed cat fishing and spending time on the river. His body has been entrusted to the crematory of Schmitz Funeral Home for cremation.

Friends may call after 12:00 noon, Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at Schmitz Funeral Home in West Point, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul with Father Dan Dorau as&nbsp; Celebrant. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery in St. Paul. A memorial has been established in his memory for West Point Fire and Rescue.

Larry Nelson, 90, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025, at his home with family at his side.

Larry Dale Nelson was born March 26, 1935, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Lawrence “Spike” and Sarah “Sally” (Rasmus) Nelson. He graduated from Mediapolis High School and later continued his education in Iowa City. From 1955 to 1959, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

On April 6, 1958, he married the love of his life, Juventina “Tina” Rocha, in Uvalde, Texas. Their love story was truly one in a million, deep, joyful, unwavering, and immediately apparent to anyone who met them. Together they built a life filled with family, adventure, friendship, and devotion.

Larry was a diligent and dedicated worker throughout his life. He began his career at Campbell Chain and Lehigh Leopold before working for his father and eventually becoming the owner of Nelson Trucking. He cared deeply for his employees and took great pride in the family business. His strong work ethic was shaped by his grandparents and parents.&nbsp;

Larry’s impact on Mediapolis is lasting. A gifted communicator and natural leader, he served for many years as both mayor and city council member. He was a pillar of the community and instrumental in the creation of the Mediapolis Community Theater, in which he also performed; one of the many projects to which he devoted his time, personal resources, and his wholehearted support. He was also active in the First Presbyterian Church, the Mediapolis Lions Club, and Ducks Unlimited.

In his daily life, Larry was known for his generosity, kindness, and sharp sense of humor. He loved a good joke, both hearing one and telling one. Larry was a thoughtful listener who offered guidance grounded in sincerity, experience, and faith. Together with Tina, wherever they traveled or lived, they formed lifelong friendships with ease.&nbsp;

Community and camaraderie were at the center of his life. He loved bowling, golfing with his buddies, traveling, and later wintering in San Antonio and Rancho Viejo, Texas. After moving to Burlington, his garage became the neighborhood gathering place for Saturday afternoon “meetings,” where friends shared stories, laughter, and a favorite drink. More recently, he took great delight in Wii bowling, card games, and conversation with his caregivers.

Above all, Larry cherished his daughters to no end. His love for his family was steadfast, joyful, and immeasurable. Everyone who knew Larry well loved him and he loved them right back.

Larry will be deeply missed by his daughters: Lori Dee “Chiquita” (Jerry) Yearwood of Burlington, Linda Dianne “Linny” Reynolds of Dallas City, IL, Lisa Day Nelson of Mediapolis, Lea Darci (Michael) Burke of Burlington, and Laci Dru (Clay) Johnson of Sperry; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife, Tina.

He loved a good joke, both hearing one and telling one. Larry was a thoughtful listener who offered guidance grounded in sincerity, experience, and faith. Together with Tina, wherever they traveled or lived, they formed lifelong friendships with ease.&nbsp;Community and camaraderie were at the center of his life. He loved bowling, golfing with his buddies, traveling, and later wintering in San Antonio and Rancho Viejo, Texas. After moving to Burlington, his garage became the neighborhood gathering place for Saturday afternoon “meetings,” where friends shared stories, laughter, and a favorite drink. More recently, he took great delight in Wii bowling, card games, and conversation with his caregivers.Above all, Larry cherished his daughters to no end. His love for his family was steadfast, joyful, and immeasurable. Leona Mae Cross, 93, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Burlington and Oakville, Iowa, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, November 6, 2025 at her daughter’s home. Beverly June McFall (Duvel), 90, of rural Montrose, Iowa, passed away at 6:29 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics&nbsp; in Iowa City.

She was born on November 25, 1934 in Udell, Iowa, the daughter of Otha and Myrtle (Dochterman) Fenton. Bev graduated from Moravia High School in 1952. On June 5, 1955, she married Jerry Charles McFall in Centerville, Iowa, where they made their home for several years. Together they raised three children before Jerry’s passing in 2014 after fifty-nine years of marriage. Beverly then met Thomas Edward Duvel and they married on November 26, 2016.

Survivors include her husband: Tom of Montrose; son: Randy (Lisa) McFall of Donnellson; daughters: Kathy (Duane) Kramer of Donnellson and Pamela (Fletcher) Fett of Fort Madison; step-sons: Randy (Bonnie) Duvel of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Mike Duvel of Troy, Missouri, Terry (Trisha) Duvel of Warrenton, Missouri; step-daughters: Debbi (Keith) Schwaab of Wentzville, Missouri, Becky (Terry) Roberts of Wentzville, Missouri and Tina (Cliff) Tucker of Troy, Missouri; one sister: Colleen Bryant of Niceville, Florida; many grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jerry; son-in-law: Craig Hayes; brothers: Otha Fenton, Jr., Lyle Fenton and Paul Fenton; two sisters: Barbara Allen and Lela Ponsetto.

Bev was an avid golfer in her early years and played weekly in a women’s league. She loved growing roses in her yard, baking prize winning pies and making the best chocolate chip cookies ever. One of her name-sake granddaughters lovingly referred to her as “Grandma Cookie”. Bev also devoted many years of service to the National T.T.T. Society. The group raises money to send numerous girls to camp each year to help build new life skills, self-confidence, as well as lifelong memories and friendships. Bev believed this was a very important mission and was proud of her involvement.

Bev and Jerry eventually moved their family from Centerville to Donnellson where they owned and operated Gambles stores in Donnellson and Fort Madiosn for twenty years. They later moved to Des Moines, Iowa where they both worked for Conlin Management Company for fifteen years before retiring to their current home on the Mississippi River in rural Montrose. Bev loved property management, meeting new tenants, managing the day-to-day operations of a large apartment complex and keeping all the records by hand. Even in retirement, she and Jerry owned two rental properties for several years.

Retiring to their house by the river in Montrose had been a dream of hers and Jerry’s and they loved it there. They enjoyed watching the eagles, the barge traffic and living close to all of their family. Later, Tom married and joined her there and the two of them took great care of each other, filling the last nine years with love and companionship. Through their marriage, Bev gained many new family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson. The family will not be present.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson with Reverend Dana Jurgens officiating.

Burial will be at the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, Iowa.

Teresa &nbsp;Lynn Arnold, 70, of Burlington, died Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born January 10, 1955, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Warren and Rosemary (Hamilton) Wade. On May 15, 1976 she married Mark Arnold at St. John Catholic Church in Burlington.

Terri worked for many years helping to run Arnold Refrigeration with her husband, Mark. &nbsp;She had an incredibly kind heart and loved helping as many people as she could through gifts of crochet, clothing, and helping with Toys for Tots donations. &nbsp;She was proud to host several foreign exchange students. &nbsp;Terri loved the water; whether that was spending time on the island of Anguilla, or just watching the river roll by, it gave her peace. &nbsp;Moreover, she loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with her husband, children and grandchildren as she could.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Mark; children, Jacob (Stacey Coleman) Arnold and Amanda (John Morrison) Johnson; grandchildren, Madlyn (Riley) Gilpin, Ava Arnold, Eli Johnson, Ren Arnold, and Lillian Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.&nbsp;

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory following the service.

Mr. James William Waugh, 92, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away Tuesday evening, November 11, 2025, sixteen days before his 93rd birthday.

Born on November 27, 1932, in Burlington, he was the son of William J. and Ethel V. (Kurka) Waugh. On February 17, 1962, in Burlington, he married Virginia K. Galbraith. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2002.

Jim was a graduate of Burlington High School in 1951 and Burlington Junior College in 1953. He entered the Army in December of 1953, attending Signal Corps School in Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey. He became a microwave radio repairman serving in Japan until 1955. He separated from the Army as a SGT First Class and then transferred to the Army Reserves and the Iowa National Guard. Combined between the Army and National Guard, he had 26 years of military service.

Jim began his working career for his father and Uncle Harry at Waugh Brothers Appliance store as a shipping clerk during his college years. He also worked at B.L. Robinson Company as a receiving clerk before becoming the full-time Administrator of the Burlington National Guard Armory, from July 1962 until April 1983. In the fall of 1984, Jim became Administrator of the Moose Lodge #579 in Burlington for many years.

He attended First United Methodist Church and was very involved with raising funds for Mooseheart home for children in Illinois, Moosehaven retirement home in Florida, Little League Baseball, “Say No to Drugs" program, restoration of Yellowstone Park, and local charities such as YMCA Camps and The Salvation Army. He was a member of the Burlington Sportsman’s Club.

Survivors include two sons: Stephen E. Waugh of Des Moines, IA, and Matthew W. (Julie) Waugh of Smyrna, TN; grandson Parker James Waugh; brother John (Janice) Waugh of Louisville, KY; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Suzanne Ridge.

The family will receive friends at the Lunning Chapel on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by military rites conducted by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard.

The graveside funeral service for Mr. James William Waugh will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Aspen Grove Cemetery with Pastor John DeLlanos officiating.

Cheryl Ann Powell, 76, of Burlington, died Thursday, November 13, 2025, at her home. Born September 7, 1949, in Macomb, Illinois, she was the daughter of John Andre’ and Rita Lockwood Howell. She married Jerry Powell on April 2, 2016, at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Cheryl began her work career at the age of 17 at Woolworth’s luncheonette. Later she began working for Vista Bakery until her retirement and continued on with the Southeast Iowa Community Action.

She was devoted to her family and served as the caregiver for her parents in their later years.

She enjoyed shopping, decorating for ALL holidays, socializing and fishing with her husband Jerry. She was an avid collector of bunnies and roosters and loved taking car rides to enjoy the scenery.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Jerry Powell; step-children, Jerry Lee (Linda) Powell, James Powell, and Jessica (Allen Charles) Reeves; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Mary Ann Willbanks, John Howell, Barbara Bechtel, James (Tammy) Howell, Kathryn (Mike) McCannon, Michael Howell, and Julia (Dan) Wischmeier; Godchildren, Maggie O’Hulligan, Jordan Howell and Bradley Howell and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Nancy Leah Pfeiff, 91, of Burlington, died Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation in Stronghurst, Illinois.

Born August 11, 1934, in Stronghurst, Illinois, she was the daughter of Earl L. and Dorothy Stevenson Ford.&nbsp; She married Wilbur Pfeiff on December 18, 1953.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on January 19, 2025.

Nancy was a school bus driver for the Burlington School District for 28 years.

She was a member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church and part of their women’s group for many years.

She loved quilting, plants and flowers, but her biggest enjoyment was her family and time spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Earl Ford Jr. “Buster”, Robert Ford, Paul Ford, Mary Ann Wilson, Marvin Ford and Rodney Ford.

A private family graveside funeral service and inurnment for Wilbur and Nancy Pfeiff will be at Greenwood Cemetery, West Burlington.&nbsp; Pastor Nancy Sutherland will officiate.

James Charles Fleming, 59, of Burlington, died Sunday, November 9, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

Born April 8, 1966, in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of Harold &nbsp;Wayne and Marlene Sadie DeFosse Fleming. On July 20, 1996, he married Pearl "Missy" Marie Gresham in Long Beach, California . She died on May 2, 2013.

Jim held multiple positions with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs over the course of 35 years, until his retirement.

Jim loved watching football and basketball. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboy, LA Lakers and Iowa Hawkeye. Recently, he began following the WNBA to watch Caitlin Clark. Jim enjoyed traveling and prefered to drive to every destination.&nbsp;

Survivors include his twin daughters, Jakayla Fleming of Burlington and Brionna (Pierce) Ferguson of Mason City; step-son, Alphonso Howard Sr. of Santa Barbara, CA; four grandchildren, Alphonso Howard, Jr., Savannah Howard, Malachi Ferguson, and Messiah Ferguson; two brothers, Eric A (Carol) Fleming of Carman, IL and Thomas W Fleming of Biggsville, IL; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy A. Jones, 72, of Burlington, died Monday, November 10, 2025, at her home in Burlington.

Born November 23, 1953, in Mound Bayou, Miss., she was the daughter of John and Mary Green Ross. She married Kenneth Jones in Chicago, Illinois. They were married for over 40 years.&nbsp;

She worked for Apollo Plastics, assembling Motorola cell phones and as an interior decorator, which was her true passion.

Dorothy was very funny. She loved to cook, watch the Golden Girls and westerns, and do DIY projects. She liked any excuse to do her makeup and get dressed up. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her familiy, especially her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jones of Burlington; three daughters, Vivian Thompson of Albuquerque, NM, Sharon Ross of Chicago, IL, and Tiffany (Jimmie Willis) Jones of Chicago; two sons, Carl (Tiffany Sesher) Jones and Roderick Jones both of Burlington; six grandchildren, Calvon &nbsp;Miles and his six children, Lee Washington and his five children, Kiona &nbsp;Lee and her child, Kaevian Willis, Nadia Jones, and Kimoni Jones; one brother, Otis (Betty) Ross of Chicago, IL; one sister, Georgia Mae Holmes of Las Vegas, NV; special nephew, Karsten Ross; and a host of nieces and nephews.

These include (but are not limited to) going to clear water beaches where she could snorkel with the marine life while gathering unique shells, coral and rocks, thrifting amazing finds at local shops with family and friends, dancing and singing with her grandchildren, cloud watching with her grandchildren and finding shapes and animals in them, watching her shows, being around her children, and laughing and living life while being genuine and true to herself. She always lit up the room with her charismatic energy and big, beautiful smile. Simply being in her presence felt warm and inviting like you were safe and at home. Her embrace was always heartfelt and meaningful. The smell of her Coco Chanel was a scent that was undeniably HER. Words cannot express the heartache and void Sherry's absence carries. She will always be remembered with the fondest of memories and immense amount of love.

Duane Clarence Gerling, 87, of Burlington, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born April 15, 1938, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Clarence “Stepper” and Ruth Gerling. He was an Air Force veteran and served in Greenland.

He married Robin Eland on June 2, 1979, in Burlington.

He grew up attending First United Church of Christ and later began attending Burlington First Assembly of God.

Duane was a two-way radio technician and mastered in electronic applications. He was the manager at Aladdin’s Castle for 26 years until they closed and continued to work at Fun City. He was affectionately known as the “Radio Man”.

His passion was his farming, astronomy and music. He was a wonderful instrumentalist and he and his wife made a point to attend all area high school instrumental concerts.

He is survived by his wife Robin Gerling; son Doren Gerling; three brothers, Harold Gerling, Gerald Gerling and Loren Gerling, one sister Margie Hayden and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Georgia, Virginia, Norma, Lois, Richard, Keith and Sidney in infancy.

Memorial funeral services will be held at Burlington First Assembly of God at a later date.

Glen Edward Fraise, 75, of Charleston, Iowa, passed away at 9:08 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home in Charleston.

He was born on May 15, 1950, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Anthony and Clara Hawkins Fraise. On May 26, 1973, he married Cheryl Smith in Burlington, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife: Cheryl; children: Jennifer (Jason) Anderson of Donnellson, Iowa, Aaron (Ann) Fraise of Charleston, Iowa; grandchildren: Andrew Shaffer, Alexis Fraise, Addalyn Fraise, Ariah Fraise, Izzabell Anderson, Loki Anderson; one great granddaughter: Mia; two brothers: Ralph (Betty) Fraise of Farmington, Iowa, Alfred Fraise of Farmington, Iowa and one sister: Annette Jones of Ottumwa, Iowa. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Melvin, Raymond, Ronald and three sisters: Josephine, Esther, Ruth Ann.

Glen was a United States Army veteran, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era. He worked maintenance at Fruehauf prior to closing. He then worked as an electrician. Glen loved the outdoors, collecting arrowheads, fishing, hunting and logging. Most of all, he enjoyed being with family and watching his grandchildren.&nbsp;

Glen’s wish was to pass away at his home surrounded by his family. The family sends a special thank you out to Every Step Hospice and Wendy Harshbarger for helping fulfill his wish.

His body has been entrusted to the crematory of Schmitz Funeral Home for cremation.

Per his wishes, there will be no services at this time.

Henry Joe Harris, 62, of Burlington, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born June 21, 1963, in Pittsfield, IL, he was the son of Henry Joseph and Theresa Lorene (Sherwood) Harris. On August 23, 1985, he married Julie Ann Bolander.&nbsp;

Henry worked for many years as a general contractor - he owned and operated his own business, H &amp; J Home Improvement, LLC. &nbsp;Henry could fix just about anything and was a hard worker. &nbsp;He never met a stranger and always looked forward to meeting new people. &nbsp;He had a good heart and didn't hold a grudge against others. &nbsp;Henry enjoyed being the life of the party and often was! &nbsp;It wouldn't be surprising to show up to his home and hear the music blasting and his grandkids dancing around the speaker. &nbsp;

Henry loved his family deeply. &nbsp;He was so proud of his children and adored his grandchildren. &nbsp;His larger than life personality, kindness and love will be missed deeply, but his memory will continue on through all who love him.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Julie; children, Jacob Harris and Lacey Harris; grandchildren, Gemma Kay Harris, Marlee Rae Harris, and River Leigh Rose Harris; &nbsp;siblings, JoAnn (Dewayne) Weir, Don Harris, and Albert (Sherry) Harris; father-in-law, Paul Bolander; several nieces, nephews and numerous friends; and best fur buddy, Calvin.

 </figure>Henry Joe Harris, 62, of Burlington, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.Born June 21, 1963, in Pittsfield, IL, he was the son of Henry Joseph and Theresa Lorene (Sherwood) Harris. Henry Harris

Lola Mae Maurer, 96, of Burlington, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Addington Place in Burlington.

Born February 5, 1929, in Warsaw, Ill., she was the daughter of Walter J. and Lola Mae Spurgeon Maurer. She lived her whole life in Burlington except for one year in Florida. &nbsp;

Lola worked for Iowa Southern Utilities and revered form MidwestOne Bank. In 1983, she secured the title of the first female Vice-President and Manager of the Jefferson Street office of Midwest Federal Savings and Loan now known as MidwestOne Bank.

Lola was quite the interior decorator and loved working outdoors. &nbsp;Survivors includes several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved sister, Alice Maurer, three brothers, Robert, Walter and Milton Maurer.Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at Our Savior Lutheran Church.The funeral service for Ms. Maurer will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Orie Thomford officiating. &nbsp;A private burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. &nbsp;A memorial has been established for Our Savior Lutheran Church.
